Enter the two objective symbols, then the identifier shown in the relevant camera view or console-side document, and confirm. The reported route is Valve B, Filter A, the AUX room, Aux Line B, the Regulator, and Valve F.
Spoiler warning: This covers the Remote Systems console sequence and what to do immediately afterward. It is not the separate earlier CEG HQ security-room access-card, projector, or gas-flow puzzle.
How to enter a CCTV console command
For each action, select the two symbols that match the current on-screen objective, enter the associated number, and confirm. The camera numbers identify views; they are not the equipment codes. Read the equipment identifier in the camera image itself, panning or zooming if needed. The walkthroughs describing this sequence direct players to use those visible identifiers. PowerPyx walkthrough
Remote Systems CCTV puzzle solutions, in order
- Open Valve B: Select Open and Valve. Camera 005 is reported to show Valve B’s identifier as 254.
- Start Filter A: Select Start and Filter. Camera 000 is reported to show 103.
- Retrieve the AUX key: Enter 0825 at the locker beside the console. Take the key upstairs and complete all three Auxiliary Lines switch groups, then return to the console.
- Flush Aux Line B: Select the symbols for the current objective and use identifier 246, given in the Remote Systems Control document beside the console.
- Stop the Regulator: Camera 002 shows a wall marking reported as 781. Published walkthroughs disagree on whether to enter 781 or 178; see the note below and follow the game’s objective and acceptance feedback.
- Unlock the Valve F door: Camera 004 shows 592 above the door. Enter it for the relevant objective.
- Open Valve F manually: Leave the console, go downstairs, and turn the valve. Then return to the control-room printer and follow the clamp-panel instructions that appear next.
Why some walkthrough numbers differ
Published guides do not agree on every transcription. The source-reviewed guide reports Valve B as 254 and Filter A as 103, while its notes say PowerPyx prints 245 and 130 for those inputs. For the Regulator, the reported wall marking is 781, but some guides give 178 as the command and IGN’s later walkthrough reports 781. No confirmed build or difficulty explanation accounts for these differences. IGN walkthrough

#1 Best Overall
- Experienced entirely in first person, explore, evade, and survive using a limited set of weapons and tools, including a pocket television used to tune into unstable signals. Evasion is tense; combat is frenetic, while narrative driven puzzles reveal a truth that refuses to stay submerged.
- SILENT HILL: Townfall is a full-length, self-contained psychological horror set against the cold, isolated backdrop of Scotland, 1996
Because the puzzle exposes the identifiers in the game, check the relevant view or document in your own playthrough rather than assuming every transcription is universal. For the Regulator in particular, try the value indicated by the in-game objective and treat the console’s acceptance response as decisive; the available guide evidence does not establish one disputed entry as correct for every player.
If a command is rejected
- Check that the two symbols match the current objective and were selected before entering the digits.
- Read the equipment identifier in the camera view; do not enter the camera’s label (such as 005 or 000) in place of that identifier.
- After Filter A, complete the AUX locker and the three Auxiliary Lines switch groups before trying to continue.
- After unlocking the Valve F door, turn Valve F downstairs by hand, then return to the printer and console area.
Where this sequence fits in the chapter
This CCTV sequence is the Remote Systems console puzzle in “Trying Again.” It is distinct from the earlier CEG HQ security-door puzzle and from the projector and gas-flow puzzles. Chapter walkthrough coverage likewise describes reading the equipment identifiers directly from the camera views. Chapter walkthrough
