The Merlies is a video game, not a film or TV show. Official listings identify Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam as its release platforms, with a stated release date of September 29, 2026.
Where can you play The Merlies?
The game is listed as a digital Nintendo Switch edition and as a PC release via Steam. Nintendo of America lists September 29, 2026 as the Switch release date, and the official Steam announcement names PC and Nintendo Switch for the same date. Nintendo of America’s listing and the official Steam announcement are the relevant storefront sources; check each store for current availability in your region.
| Platform | What is established | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Nintendo Switch | Nintendo lists a digital edition, released September 29, 2026. | Open the eShop for your Nintendo Account region. Nintendo says offer details depend on the account’s country settings. |
| PC via Steam | The official announcement names PC as a release platform, with a September 29, 2026 release date. | Check the Steam store page for regional availability, price, system requirements, and supported controls; the announcement does not establish those details. |
Can you watch or stream it on a video service?
No video-streaming or cloud-gaming service is confirmed by the official platform sources cited here. Since The Merlies is a game, look for it in the Nintendo eShop or Steam rather than a film or television catalog. Do not assume a subscription or cloud service supports it without a current listing from that service.
How does The Merlies play on Nintendo Switch?
Nintendo lists TV, tabletop, and handheld play modes. Nintendo UK also identifies the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller as compatible; it is an optional compatible controller, not a stated requirement. Nintendo’s listing describes the game as a 2D exploration adventure: a storm scatters a flock of small birds, and players reunite them, use their abilities to explore, and collect scraps to build and decorate a village. See Nintendo UK’s listing for its mode and controller details.
