HubSpot CRM is a cloud-based customer platform with a free starting tier and paid upgrade paths. Its official feature set covers contact and company records, deal pipelines, activity tracking, reporting, integrations, and tools across sales, marketing, and service. The main buying caveat is that features and limits depend on the Hub or edition—and HubSpot’s live pages show different prices in different product and billing contexts. The pricing and feature details below were checked against HubSpot’s official pages on October 4, 2026; they are not historical 2025 prices.
What is HubSpot CRM?
HubSpot describes its free CRM and Smart CRM foundation as a shared customer-data platform for marketing, sales, and service teams. It is hosted software rather than a locally installed database. Customer records can bring contact details and communication history together, while sales workflows can connect those records to deals, tasks, and pipeline stages.
HubSpot says it serves more than 306,000 customers in more than 135 countries. That is the company’s current product-page claim, not an independently audited customer count. The platform’s breadth may suit a team that wants connected tools in one ecosystem, but whether it fits depends on the team’s processes, required integrations, and the specific paid features it needs.
HubSpot CRM features
Contact management and company context
Contact and company records are intended to give teams a shared view of customer details and interactions. HubSpot also lists CRM import tools and data sync, which can help bring information into the platform or keep supported third-party systems connected. Import and sync compatibility depends on the source and connector; specific connector terms and fees are not established here.

#1 Best Overall
Deals, tasks, and pipelines
The product page describes deal records, pipeline visualization, task and activity tracking, meeting scheduling, email templates, email tracking, and sales quotes among its CRM-related capabilities. These are useful building blocks for organizing prospects and work, but do not assume every named function or its full limits are included in the free tier. Check the exact edition’s feature list before building a workflow around it.
Dashboards and team coordination
HubSpot presents reporting dashboards and shared customer records as ways to coordinate marketing, sales, and service activity. That describes the intended product capability, not an independent finding about reporting quality or business results. Confirm that the dashboard dimensions and reports available in the selected tier match the questions your team needs to answer.
Integrations and AI
HubSpot advertises more than 2,000 apps in its Marketplace and two-way data sync with supported tools. Connector availability, quality, and any added costs vary and were not assessed. The company also names Breeze Assistant and AI writing or automation features; availability, usage credits, and edition requirements can differ, so verify the current terms for each feature.
Free CRM: what is included and where the limits are
HubSpot’s CRM pricing page describes free tools for up to two users and 1,000 contacts, with no expiration date. It also states a limit of 1 million records across other standard object types per free account. The free tools are limited versions of paid products, and availability varies by Hub and edition. These limits make the no-cost tier a practical way to start, but a team should check its current contact count, user count, and required functions before relying on it as a long-term fit.
The product page lists additional capabilities such as user permissions, ticketing, payment links, mobile access, email tracking and templates, and Breeze AI assistance. Their appearance on a product page does not establish that each capability is included at no cost or in every region. Verify feature availability and limits in the plan being considered.
HubSpot CRM pricing: official page displays checked October 4, 2026
The following figures are USD displays on HubSpot’s official pages, not a custom quote. The pages present prices in different product contexts and with billing-period controls, so they should not be combined into one universal HubSpot price. Tax, geography, billing term, promotional eligibility, seats, contacts, onboarding, and selected products can affect the amount a buyer pays.
| Official page and product context | Displayed pricing | Important context |
|---|---|---|
| CRM product page | Free; Starter from $15/month per seat; Professional from $50/month per seat; Enterprise from $75/month per seat | The page says the Starter discount is for new customers and may be discontinued. [HubSpot CRM product page] |
| CRM pricing page | Free for up to two users; Starter from $7/month per seat alongside a $20/month per seat display | The page has billing-period controls and describes up to 1,000 free contacts. [HubSpot CRM pricing page] |
| Sales Hub pricing page | Free for up to two users; Starter from $7/month per seat alongside a $20/month per seat display; Professional from $90/month per seat alongside a $100/month per seat display; Enterprise from $150/month per seat | Professional requires a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee; Enterprise requires a one-time $3,500 onboarding fee. These are Sales Hub terms, not CRM tier prices. [HubSpot Sales Hub pricing page] |
Because the pages show different packages and price presentations, compare the precise product, billing choice, seat count, promotional eligibility, and onboarding terms in the live checkout or sales quote. A displayed “from” price is not a guarantee of the total for a particular team.
Pros and cons
Potential advantages
- No-cost entry point: HubSpot describes a free tier with no expiration and, on its CRM pricing page, limits of two users and 1,000 contacts.
- Connected workflow options: The feature set spans CRM records and sales workflows, with adjacent marketing and service tools available in the broader platform. Fit depends on the team’s process and the required tier.
- In-platform expansion: HubSpot offers upgrade paths across its customer platform. The company describes migration and expansion benefits, but ease of moving a specific business’s data was not independently tested.
- Broad advertised integration catalog: More than 2,000 Marketplace apps are listed by HubSpot, though connector quality and fees vary.
Trade-offs to consider
- Free-tier caps: Two users and 1,000 contacts are stated limits on the CRM pricing page, alongside a separate stated limit for other standard object records.
- Packaging varies: A feature shown in HubSpot’s broad product description may require a paid Hub or higher edition, or may have limits that differ by plan.
- Price displays are not uniform: Official pages show different product contexts and billing presentations; promotional Starter prices may be limited to new customers.
- Onboarding can add cost: Sales Hub Professional and Enterprise list one-time onboarding fees of $1,500 and $3,500, respectively.
- Vendor outcome statistics are not guarantees: HubSpot publishes ROI and user-sentiment figures, but the underlying methodology was not available in the material reviewed, and those results should not be treated as independent proof of outcomes for a prospective customer.
Are HubSpot’s reported results proof of ROI?
HubSpot attributes “3x more leads” and “94% more deals closed” to its 2025 ROI Report on its small-business CRM page. The available description does not provide the report’s sample size, study period, or causal design, so those figures cannot establish that HubSpot caused the outcomes or that a typical buyer should expect them.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesOn its Smart CRM page, HubSpot says 83% of its users consider it effective at unifying company data, 93% use HubSpot daily, and 87% say it is easy to use. These are vendor-published user-survey results; the sample and methodology were not available. They are indicators of reported sentiment, not a substitute for assessing the software against your own team’s needs.
How to decide whether HubSpot CRM fits your team
- Define the workflow first. List the customer data, pipeline stages, activity tracking, reporting, and marketing or service functions your team actually needs.
- Check whether the free limits fit. Compare the two-user and 1,000-contact limits, plus the separate other-record limit, with your expected usage.
- Identify features that require an upgrade. Confirm the specific Hub and edition for every essential function, including automation, reporting depth, AI tools, and integrations.
- Get a like-for-like price. Ask for the exact package and billing term, count the seats and contacts, confirm whether a promotion applies, and include any required onboarding fee.
- Compare alternatives on equal terms. Use the same team size and billing period, then compare contact and user limits, included sales/marketing/service functions, automation and reporting, integrations and migration, onboarding and support, and administration or training effort.
This review is based on HubSpot’s official product and pricing materials, not hands-on account testing or trials against competing CRMs. It therefore does not establish a comparative winner or independently verify integration performance, usability, or business outcomes.
