The standard OPPO Reno15 5G and realme 16 Pro+ 5G both list Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, but their published specifications differ on screen size, refresh rate and battery capacity. realme lists the larger, faster-refreshing display and higher typical battery capacity; OPPO’s India launch prices are documented, but a matching realme price for the same country and storage tier is not. That means there is no reliable price difference to quote without choosing a market and comparing like-for-like configurations.

Make sure you are comparing the right phones

This comparison covers the OPPO Reno15 5G, model CPH2825, and the realme 16 Pro+ 5G. OPPO sells several phones under the Reno15 family name, including Pro and other variants; their specifications should not be substituted for the standard Reno15’s.

The pages also represent different market scopes: OPPO’s product specifications and announced prices are for India, while the realme specifications page is global and does not give a local price. The table compares the published hardware, not independently tested results.

Where the specifications differ

Display: realme lists more screen area and a higher refresh ceiling

realme specifies a 6.8-inch FHD+ screen with refresh rates up to 144Hz; OPPO specifies a 16.74cm (about 6.59-inch) FHD+ screen with a maximum 120Hz refresh rate. A higher refresh ceiling can allow smoother motion when content and software support it, but the figures alone do not prove which screen looks better. They do not establish brightness, color accuracy, outdoor readability or real-world smoothness.

Battery and charging: capacity is not an endurance test

realme lists a 7000mAh typical battery, compared with OPPO’s 6500mAh typical and 6335mAh rated figures. Those are manufacturer capacity specifications, not measured screen-on time. Actual battery life depends on factors such as network conditions, brightness, workload and software. Both companies advertise charging up to 80W, using different named standards; those maximum claims do not establish equal charging times or performance under the same conditions.

Camera: compare hardware carefully, not megapixel totals

OPPO specifies a three-camera rear setup comprising an 8MP ultrawide, a 50MP main camera with 2-axis optical image stabilization, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 2-axis stabilization. It also lists a 50MP autofocus front camera. These are the standard Reno15’s specifications, not claims for a Reno15 Pro model.

realme’s global page lists camera modes and video capabilities, but those details alone do not establish a photo-quality winner against OPPO. Camera performance requires comparable sample photos and video taken under consistent conditions; megapixel counts or feature lists cannot substitute for that evaluation.

Processor: the same named platform does not prove identical speed

Both manufacturers list the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. That establishes nominal chipset parity on the published specification pages, not equivalent performance in every task. Sustained speed, heat, memory configuration and software behavior would need testing on the phones themselves; no benchmark or thermal result is established by the cited specifications.

What is the price difference?

OPPO announced Indian Reno15 prices on 8 January 2026: INR 45,999 for 8GB + 256GB, INR 48,999 for 12GB + 256GB, and INR 53,999 for 12GB + 512GB. OPPO said sales would start on 13 January 2026 and named Amazon India among its sales channels in its India launch announcement. These are announced launch prices, not verified current offers.

The reviewed realme Global specifications page does not publish a price or identify a local sales channel. As a result, the available information does not support a specific Reno15-versus-16 Pro+ price gap. A meaningful comparison needs prices for the same country, date, and comparable RAM and storage configurations; comparing OPPO’s India launch price with a realme price from another market would be misleading. OPPO’s global announcement also directs readers to local markets for release dates and pricing: OPPO Global’s Reno15 Series announcement.

Which phone should you choose?

  • Lean toward the realme 16 Pro+ if its locally available configuration and price suit you and your priorities are the larger listed screen, 144Hz maximum refresh rate or higher listed typical battery capacity.
  • Consider the OPPO Reno15 if its India configurations and local price work for you, or if the listed camera arrangement—including a stabilized telephoto camera and autofocus front camera—matches what you want. Those hardware details do not, by themselves, establish better photos.
  • Do not choose on chipset alone: both list Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Look for independent testing of sustained performance, battery life and camera output if those are decisive.
  • Before buying, verify the exact variant and local listing. Check storage and RAM, current price, availability, and the seller’s stated model number in your country.
