In India, the vivo V60 launched at ₹36,999 for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, ₹2,000 more than the V50’s ₹34,999 launch price for the same configuration. The V60 adds a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera and lists a larger battery and newer-generation Snapdragon platform; the V50 has a 50MP ultrawide camera. These are 2025 launch prices, not verified current prices, so check the exact variant and seller before buying.
India launch prices: how much more did the V60 cost?
The fairest price comparison is the matching 8GB + 128GB configuration: vivo announced the V50 at ₹34,999 on February 17, 2025, and the V60 at ₹36,999 on August 12, 2025. That makes the V60’s launch price ₹2,000 higher. The sale start dates announced for these models were February 25 and August 19, 2025, respectively. These figures are historical launch prices, not current retailer quotes.
| Model and configuration | India launch price | Announced sale start |
|---|---|---|
| vivo V50, 8GB + 128GB | ₹34,999 | February 25, 2025 |
| vivo V50, 8GB + 256GB | ₹36,999 | February 25, 2025 |
| vivo V50, 12GB + 512GB | ₹40,999 | February 25, 2025 |
| vivo V60, 8GB + 128GB | ₹36,999 | August 19, 2025 |
| vivo V60, 8GB + 256GB | ₹38,999 | August 19, 2025 |
| vivo V60, 12GB + 256GB | ₹40,999 | August 19, 2025 |
| vivo V60, 16GB + 512GB | ₹45,999 | August 19, 2025 |
Storage does not match across every tier. For example, the V50’s 12GB + 512GB configuration and V60’s 12GB + 256GB configuration both launched at ₹40,999, but they do not offer the same storage. Compare like-for-like RAM and storage, and check live listings for current prices, stock, seller and warranty terms.
What are the main spec differences?
| Specification | vivo V50 (India) | vivo V60 (India) | What it means for a buyer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Processor | Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 | Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 | The V60 lists a newer platform generation; that alone does not establish a real-world speed or gaming advantage. |
| Rear cameras | 50MP OIS main + 50MP autofocus ultrawide | 50MP OIS main + 8MP ultrawide + 50MP OIS ZEISS super telephoto | The V60 adds a dedicated telephoto option, while the V50 lists a higher-resolution ultrawide. Megapixels alone do not determine image quality. |
| Front camera | 50MP autofocus | 50MP group selfie camera; vivo claims a 92-degree field of view | The V60’s stated field of view may suit group selfies, but specs do not establish comparative photo quality. |
| Typical battery capacity | 6000mAh | 6500mAh typical; 6330mAh rated | The V60 has 500mAh more stated typical capacity. Actual battery life depends on use and needs independent testing to compare. |
| Wired charging | 90W FlashCharge | 90W FlashCharge | Both list the same charging wattage; actual charging times can vary. |
| Display | 6.77-inch AMOLED, 2392 × 1080, up to 120Hz | 6.77-inch quad-curved display, 120Hz; vivo advertises 5000 nits local peak brightness | Size and refresh rate are similar on paper. Peak brightness figures cannot be fairly compared without matching measurement conditions. |
| Durability | IP68 and IP69; vivo describes underwater photography | IP68 and IP69; vivo describes water resistance and drop protection | These are manufacturer specifications and claims, not a guarantee that every kind of water or drop exposure is safe or covered by warranty. |
| Software listed | Android 15, Funtouch OS 15 | Funtouch OS 15 | The cited product information does not establish the current software version or future update schedule. |
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the V60 if its camera coverage and battery matter more
- You want a dedicated telephoto camera in addition to the main and ultrawide cameras.
- The 6500mAh typical battery specification or Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 listing is more appealing to you, while recognizing that neither proves better real-world endurance or performance.
- You are comfortable paying more if current prices preserve the difference seen at launch. Verify the exact RAM and storage configuration before purchase.
Consider the V50 if its ultrawide or price suits you better
- You prefer the V50’s stated 50MP ultrawide specification over the V60’s 8MP ultrawide, and do not need a dedicated telephoto camera.
- The V50 is available at a lower current price for the same RAM and storage. Any present-day discount needs to be checked against a live listing.
What the specifications do—and do not—settle
The official India product pages establish the listed hardware, while vivo’s launch announcements establish the original India prices. They do not provide a controlled head-to-head test of photo quality, battery endurance, sustained gaming performance or value at today’s street prices. Treat the camera and chipset differences as feature distinctions, not proof of a universal winner; consult independent comparative testing if those results will decide your purchase.
