Both models retain a 200 MP main camera, IP68 rating and 120 W charging on the cited regional product pages. Whether the newer phone is worth more depends on the price for the same storage configuration in your country; the available launch price alone cannot establish a current price difference.

What changed in the newer model?
Processor: Snapdragon replaces Dimensity
The Note 13 Pro+ uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200-Ultra, while the Note 14 Pro+ uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. That is a change in platform, but the specifications alone do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use, gaming or sustained workloads. No directly comparable benchmark results are established here.

Display: higher listed peak brightness and newer glass
Both Xiaomi pages list a 6.67-inch, 2712 × 1220 AMOLED display with a refresh rate up to 120 Hz. Xiaomi lists peak brightness at 1800 nits for the Note 13 Pro+ and 3000 nits for the Note 14 Pro+. The Note 14 also moves from Gorilla Glass Victus to Victus 2. These are manufacturer specifications; they do not by themselves establish a measured brightness advantage in every mode or greater real-world drop resistance.
Battery: a modest increase on paper
Xiaomi lists typical capacities of 5000 mAh for the Note 13 Pro+ and 5110 mAh for the global Note 14 Pro+. Both product pages list 120 W charging. The 110 mAh difference is a capacity specification, not proof of longer battery life: endurance also depends on display use, software, network conditions and other factors. No comparable battery test results are established here.

Camera hardware: headline setup remains similar
Both pages list a 200 MP main camera, 8 MP ultrawide and 2 MP macro. Xiaomi’s global Note 14 page additionally identifies optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 1/1.4-inch sensor for the main camera. Similar megapixel counts do not mean the phones produce equal photos, and these specifications are not a substitute for side-by-side camera testing.
Durability: same rating, with an attributed rigidity claim
Xiaomi lists IP68 for both phones, with laboratory-condition and regional qualifications. An IP rating is not a promise that a phone is waterproof in every situation. Xiaomi also says the Note 14 Pro+’s overall rigidity is increased by 10% compared with the previous generation, based on Xiaomi Internal Labs; this is a manufacturer claim, not an independent test.

Memory options depend on the country
The listed configurations are not identical across the regional Xiaomi pages: the Spanish Note 13 page shows 8+256 GB and 12+512 GB, while the German Note 14 page shows 8+256 GB, 12+256 GB and 12+512 GB. The cited pages also use different memory technologies for their listed tiers. Do not assume a configuration shown in one country is sold in another, or that matching capacity means identical memory hardware.
For a purchase comparison, check the exact local model number and RAM/storage tier. A 12+256 GB phone and a 12+512 GB phone are not like-for-like price comparisons, even if their names otherwise match.

What is the price difference?
Xiaomi’s global Note 14 Series article states a suggested retail price starting from USD 449. That is launch-era suggested-price context, not a current transaction price or a matched comparison against the Note 13 Pro+. No current local price for the Note 13 Pro+ or like-for-like listing for both phones is established here, so a reliable present-day price difference cannot be calculated from that figure.
To judge the premium where you shop, compare prices in the same country for the same RAM and storage tier, and distinguish a retailer’s sale price from suggested retail pricing. Which model should you choose?
- Consider the Note 14 Pro+ if its local price is close to the Note 13 Pro+ at the same storage tier and you value the newer processor, higher listed peak brightness, Victus 2 glass or the slightly larger listed typical battery.
- Consider the Note 13 Pro+ if it is meaningfully cheaper in your market and the shared headline specifications—120 Hz AMOLED display, 200 MP main camera, IP68 claim and 120 W charging—meet your needs.
- Wait for direct tests if your decision depends on real-world battery life, camera quality, gaming performance or durability. The product-page specifications do not establish those comparative outcomes.
