Which phone has the better display?
The Nord 5 has a larger 6.83-inch panel and a higher stated refresh-rate ceiling of 144 Hz. The Edge 60 Pro’s cited EMEA specification is a 6.7-inch, 120 Hz pOLED display. The Motorola Australia page also describes its display as quad-curved. These figures establish differences in size and rated refresh rate, not which screen looks better: comparable brightness measurements and hands-on image-quality tests are not available here.
Performance, RAM and storage
OnePlus lists a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Motorola’s EMEA listing pairs a Dimensity 8350-series processor with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The Australia page lists different memory and storage options from the EMEA page. Processor names and storage standards alone do not determine which phone will feel faster in every task; this comparison does not include benchmark results.

Camera differences: Motorola adds a telephoto lens
The clearest hardware distinction is the Edge 60 Pro’s dedicated 10 MP telephoto camera, which Motorola Australia specifies with 3× optical zoom and OIS. Its 50 MP ultrawide also has macro capability. The Nord 5’s cited EEA camera setup consists of a 50 MP stabilized main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide, without a dedicated telephoto module.
Both cited pages list 50 MP front cameras. OnePlus specifies rear-camera video up to 4K at 60 fps; Motorola Australia lists 4K UHD at 30 fps across its listed rear cameras. These hardware and video specifications do not show which phone produces better photos or video in real conditions.
Battery and charging
Motorola lists a 6,000 mAh battery, compared with 5,200 mAh on the OnePlus EEA specification page. Motorola also lists up to 90 W wired TurboPower charging and 15 W wireless charging; OnePlus lists 80 W SUPERVOOC charging, USB PD/PPS support, and wired reverse charging. Capacity and rated wattage do not establish actual battery life or charging time, which depend on conditions and use.
Motorola says its maximum wired charging rate requires the specified Motorola charger, and its user guide cautions that a charger may not be included in the box. Check the package contents for the exact market and SKU before buying a separate charger.

Weight, protection and day-to-day trade-offs
The cited Motorola EMEA specifications list the Edge 60 Pro at 186 g, 25 g lighter than the Nord 5’s listed 211 g. That makes Motorola the lighter option on these figures; hand feel also depends on dimensions, shape and case choice. Motorola Australia lists IP68/IP69 protection. The cited OnePlus EEA specifications do not state a comparable protection rating, so this material does not establish an equivalent Nord 5 rating.
Software support: check the regional policy
OnePlus’s EEA specifications promise at least four Android OS upgrade generations and six years of security updates from launch. Motorola Australia lists Android 16, three OS upgrades and four years of security maintenance releases. These are vendor-published statements from different regional pages, not verified update-delivery histories; confirm the applicable policy and software state for the specific phone sold in your market.
What is the price difference?
The OnePlus India product page lists the Nord 5 from ₹33,999, a regional starting price accessed in 2026. No matching official Motorola India price for an equivalent Edge 60 Pro configuration was established, so a numeric difference cannot be calculated responsibly from these figures. A fair comparison requires the same market, date, RAM and storage configuration, and price basis; retailer discounts and offers can also change the amount payable.
Quick Recap
Which should you choose?
- Choose the Nord 5 on paper if you want the larger display, higher listed refresh-rate ceiling, or the longer stated support period on the cited pages.
- Choose the Edge 60 Pro on paper if a dedicated 3× optical telephoto, wireless charging, a larger listed battery, lighter weight, or the cited IP68/IP69 rating matters more.
- Compare local listings before deciding if price or configuration is decisive. Both availability and specifications can vary by market, and the cited Motorola pages do not describe an identical configuration.
