Hyprland 0.54.3 is a patch release built on v0.54.2, not a major feature update. Is v0.54.3 the latest Hyprland release?
No. The official releases page excerpt lists v0.56.2 as “Latest,” so v0.54.3 is not the newest release shown there. The same excerpt gives v0.54.3 a March 27 timestamp but does not show the year; the year cannot be confirmed from that listing alone. Hyprland releases.
Should you update to v0.54.3?
Consider this release if you are using v0.54.2 and encountering one of the affected problems, particularly a crash tied to the listed master, scroll-after-suspend, or layershell-popup cases. The release notes describe fixes, but they do not establish whether an update resolves a particular user’s issue or whether their distribution packages v0.54.3.

Before updating, check which Hyprland version your Linux distribution provides and follow that distribution’s installation guidance. If it offers a newer release, compare that version’s notes as well as your current version rather than assuming v0.54.3 is the newest available option.
