The POCO X8 Power 5G is listed with a larger, higher-resolution screen and a higher-capacity battery; the realme 16 is listed with a higher-resolution selfie camera. Comparison pages put the phones close in price, but the actual difference depends on the RAM and storage variant and the live offer. The figures below are India-market listings checked on October 4, 2026; POCO specifications are from comparison publishers, not an official POCO specification page verified here.

How the prices compare in India
Two comparison pages list the realme 16 at ₹35,499 and the POCO X8 Power 5G at ₹35,999—a ₹500 gap in those page snapshots. Gadgets Now also separately lists a 256GB/8GB realme configuration at ₹38,999. These are not guaranteed current retail prices: check the seller, exact RAM/storage tier, stock and offers at the time you buy. Sources: 91mobiles and Gadgets Now.
Before comparing two offers, match the storage and RAM configurations. A headline price for one variant is not a like-for-like comparison with a different tier.

What the differences mean in everyday use
Screen size and resolution
The POCO’s listed 6.83-inch, 1280 × 2772 panel is larger and higher-resolution than the realme’s listed 6.57-inch, 1080 × 2372 panel. Both are listed at 120Hz. The larger POCO screen may suit video, reading and a roomier interface; the realme’s smaller display may be preferable if you want a less expansive phone. These are listed specifications, not a comparative assessment of display quality. Sources: 91mobiles and Smartprix.
Battery capacity is not a runtime test
Comparison publishers list a 10,000mAh battery for the POCO and a 7,000mAh battery for the realme. That gives the POCO the larger stated capacity, but capacity alone does not establish how long either phone lasts in real use. No equivalent controlled head-to-head battery test was verified. Charging claims need context
Gadgets Now lists 60W charging for the realme and 100W for the POCO, and gives a 47-minute full-charge time for the POCO. The timing is a publisher-listed claim; charging conditions and whether the required adapter is included were not established. Treat these figures as reported specifications rather than a verified, like-for-like charging test. Source: Gadgets Now.
Camera resolution does not settle camera quality
Both phones are listed with a 50MP main rear camera. The POCO is listed with an 8MP ultrawide, while the realme’s additional rear camera is listed as a 2MP monochrome or secondary camera. The realme’s listed 50MP front camera has more megapixels than the POCO’s listed 32MP front camera, but megapixel counts alone do not show which phone takes better photos or selfies. Which phone should you buy?
- Consider the POCO X8 Power 5G if its listed larger screen, higher resolution and greater battery capacity are the features you value most—and its exact variant is competitively priced where you shop.
- Consider the realme 16 5G if you prefer the smaller listed display or prioritize the higher-resolution front camera on paper.
- Compare the exact configurations first if your decision comes down to price: match RAM and storage, then check the live seller price rather than relying on a comparison-page snapshot.
Processor names and charging figures are also reported by comparison publishers, but POCO’s processor and broader specifications were not verified against an official POCO product page. realme’s official India specifications are available at realme India. Neither listed battery capacity nor camera megapixels substitutes for comparable independent testing.
