The Samsung Galaxy S25 is the smaller phone, with a 6.2-inch display and a listed 3x optical telephoto camera. The OnePlus 13R is larger, with a 6.78-inch 1–120Hz display and a higher listed battery capacity. For US buyers, Samsung’s captured 256GB listing showed $899.99, but a comparable current OnePlus price was not established, so there is no verified live price gap to report.

These are specification comparisons, not independent performance, battery-life, or camera-quality test results.
Which phone has the better display and size?
The OnePlus 13R’s listed screen is 0.58 inches larger diagonally than the Galaxy S25’s, and its specifications include a dynamic refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz. It is the more natural fit if you want a larger viewing area for video, reading, or games. A larger screen also means a larger handset; the supplied specifications do not establish a direct body-dimension comparison.
The S25’s 6.2-inch screen makes it the more compact option by display measurement. Choose it if a smaller screen matters more to you than maximizing viewing area. Samsung notes that its 6.2-inch figure measures the full rectangle, so rounded corners make the usable area smaller.

How do battery capacity and charging compare?
OnePlus lists the 13R at 6,000mAh typical and 5,860mAh rated capacity. Samsung lists the S25 at 3,885mAh rated capacity. Because the manufacturers use different capacity labels, these figures are not a like-for-like runtime test; capacity alone cannot establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use. OnePlus says its battery figure is based on company laboratory calculation and that actual experience varies with usage habits, battery aging, and other factors.
OnePlus lists 55W SUPERVOOC charging and says the 13R can reach up to 80W with specified OnePlus adapters. Samsung’s cited US specification says the travel adapter is not included, and the captured source information does not establish the S25’s charging wattage. Check the exact regional box contents and adapter compatibility before buying accessories; charging rates can depend on the adapter used.

Which phone has the better camera zoom?
On listed telephoto reach, the Galaxy S25 has 3x optical zoom, while the OnePlus 13R has 2x optical zoom. Samsung’s US specification also lists up to 30x digital zoom; digital zoom is distinct from optical zoom. The OnePlus rear system comprises a 50MP Sony LYT-700 main camera with OIS, a 50MP 2x telephoto, and an 8MP ultra-wide. Samsung lists 50MP, 10MP, and 12MP rear cameras.
These hardware specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos or video. No independent side-by-side camera samples or image-quality testing are available here, so choose based on the zoom range and camera hardware you value rather than assuming megapixels or optical zoom alone determine results.

What do the chipset and memory specifications mean?
Samsung identifies the S25 chipset as Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy; OnePlus lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for the 13R. The cited materials provide no comparable independent benchmark results, so they do not support a reliable speed ranking or performance percentage. Both referenced configurations list 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage, although OnePlus specifies LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Confirm the exact SKU in your region before comparing listings.
What are the prices and the actual price difference?
Samsung’s US 256GB product listing appeared at $899.99 in a search result captured on October 4, 2026. This is a volatile listing snapshot, not a guaranteed current selling price. The official OnePlus materials reviewed did not establish a comparable current US price for the 13R, so an exact price difference cannot be stated reliably.

For a useful live comparison, check both manufacturers or retailers at the same time and match storage, unlocked or carrier status, and promotion conditions. Taxes and carrier or trade-in offers can change the amount paid. A price comparison between unlike configurations or promotions would not show the true difference between these phones.

OnePlus states that the 13R has IP65 protection against low-pressure water jets and cautions that liquid protection has limits and may not be covered by warranty. IP65 does not mean waterproof. The cited materials do not establish a matching water- and dust-resistance rating for the US Galaxy S25, so they are insufficient for a direct durability comparison.
Which should you choose?
- Choose the OnePlus 13R if you want the larger 6.78-inch high-refresh-rate display, prioritize its higher listed battery capacity, or prefer its specified 55W charging and optional up-to-80W adapter support.
- Choose the Galaxy S25 if you want the smaller 6.2-inch display or value the listed 3x optical telephoto reach over the OnePlus’s 2x optical telephoto.
- Compare live prices before deciding if cost is the deciding factor: the available US Samsung figure is a dated listing snapshot, and a like-for-like current OnePlus price was not established.
This recommendation follows the manufacturers’ published specifications; it is not a verdict based on hands-on battery, camera, or benchmark testing.
