The Ultra has the larger, higher-resolution display and more listed rear-camera modules; the Pixel costs less and comes with Google’s stated seven-year OS and security update commitment. Those specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos, lasts longer, or performs faster in everyday use.
US launch prices: the S26 Ultra started $400.99 higher
Samsung announced a US starting price of $1,299.99 for the Galaxy S26 Ultra on February 25, 2026, with general availability beginning March 11 (Samsung’s announcement). Google announced the standard Pixel 11 at $899 on August 12, 2026, and said Pixel 11 phones reached shelves on August 20 (Google’s launch announcement). Subtracting those announced starting prices gives a $400.99 difference.
This is a comparison of launch starting prices, not matching storage configurations or a current checkout quote. Google’s live Store listing shows trade-in and carrier offers, which may depend on eligibility and timing (Google Store listing). A current, like-for-like retail price comparison is not established here.

Display: larger and sharper on paper with Samsung
The S26 Ultra’s 6.9-inch QHD+ display is larger and has a higher stated resolution than the Pixel 11’s 6.3-inch, 1080 × 2424 screen. Samsung lists an adaptive 1–120 Hz refresh rate; Google lists 60–120 Hz. Their peak-brightness figures use manufacturer-defined measures, so they should not be treated as directly comparable results from a common test.
Cameras: different hardware, no proven photo-quality winner
Samsung lists four rear cameras, including a 200 MP main camera and separate 3x and 5x telephoto cameras. Google lists three rear cameras, with a 48 MP main camera and a 5x optical telephoto. These specifications describe different approaches to zoom and camera hardware, but megapixel counts and lens lists alone do not show which phone produces better images. No matched camera comparison for these exact models is established by the cited specifications.

Performance and battery: specifications do not settle everyday results
The phones use different processors—Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy in Samsung’s model and Google Tensor G6 in the Pixel 11. Without matched independent testing, the chip names do not establish a speed, gaming, or AI winner.
Their listed typical battery capacities are close: 5,000 mAh for the Samsung and 4,985 mAh for the Pixel. Capacity is not a battery-endurance test, so it cannot establish which lasts longer in daily use.

Charging: compare the stated conditions, not just the wattage
Samsung specifies up to 60 W wired charging and says the adapter is sold separately. Google’s stated wired-charging figure is up to 55% in about 30 minutes when using a 30 W USB-C PPS charger or higher, also sold separately; it additionally lists Pixelsnap Qi2.2 wireless charging up to 25 W. These are different manufacturer measures and conditions, not a direct charging-time comparison.

- Consider the S26 Ultra if a larger, higher-resolution screen or its listed combination of 3x and 5x telephoto cameras is a priority and its higher launch starting price fits your budget.
- Consider the Pixel 11 if the lower US launch starting price, smaller display, or Google’s stated seven-year US update commitment matters more to you.
- Compare exact configurations before buying. Launch starting prices do not match storage tiers, and current retailer, trade-in, and carrier offers can change the amount a particular buyer pays.
These are specification-based distinctions, not a verdict on photo quality, battery life, sustained speed, or AI performance. The official sources cited here do not provide matched real-world tests of those outcomes.
