No delay is confirmed by the sources reviewed, so the claim that it is nearly certain to slip remains speculation.
Is The Duskbloods delayed?
There is no confirmed delay in the available information. Nintendo’s current US product listing gives the game a 2026 release year, not a specific launch date. That leaves room for the schedule to change, but it does not establish that a delay has happened. Nintendo’s listing is the clearest direct source on the current release window.

A report from VICE on August 13, 2026, said FromSoftware parent company Kadokawa reaffirmed a worldwide Nintendo Switch 2 release in 2026 in its financial materials. VICE also reported that no specific date had been announced. That is secondary reporting about company materials, not a newly announced street date. VICE’s report supports the 2026 window, not a precise launch date.
When is The Duskbloods coming out?
Nintendo lists the release year as 2026, with no month or day on its product page as of October 4, 2026. GamesRadar’s current schedule roundup likewise lists the game as “TBC 2026”; that is a roundup’s status, not an official date. GamesRadar’s schedule offers no more precise timing.

A specific September 24 date should not be treated as the launch date. The Brief reported that Nintendo rejected that claimed date, quoting a spokesperson as saying it was inaccurate because Nintendo had no information about the game’s release date. The statement is relayed by The Brief from Eurogamer’s contact with Nintendo, rather than from a Nintendo announcement published directly. The Brief’s account is evidence against treating September 24 as confirmed.
What is confirmed about the game?
The Duskbloods is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, developed and published by FromSoftware, according to Nintendo’s US listing. Nintendo describes online battles for one to eight players, with temporary alliances and rivalries as players compete for “First Blood.” Those are store-page descriptions, not independent gameplay findings.
