A reliable current price difference cannot be stated from the available figures: Samsung’s M17e prices below are launch prices, and there is no verified matched current price for the M06.

Specifications are from Samsung’s Galaxy M06 5G product page and Samsung’s Galaxy M17e 5G product page.
Which phone has the better display?
The M17e is listed with a maximum 120 Hz refresh rate, compared with the M06’s maximum 90 Hz. A higher refresh rate can make scrolling and supported animations appear smoother. Both cited pages list the same 720 × 1600 HD+ resolution and PLS LCD panel type, so the M17e’s listed advantage here is refresh rate, not a higher resolution or a different listed panel type.

Which Samsung phone has the better battery?
Samsung lists a typical capacity of 6,000 mAh for the M17e and 5,000 mAh for the M06. That gives the M17e the larger rated battery capacity, but it does not establish how many hours either phone lasts in use. Actual runtime varies with factors such as display settings, apps and network conditions; no independent endurance test is available in the cited material.
Are the cameras different?
The headline camera specifications are alike: each page lists a 50 MP and 2 MP rear-camera arrangement, an 8 MP front camera and no rear optical image stabilisation (OIS). These figures do not show whether the phones produce equivalent photos or video; megapixel counts alone cannot establish image quality.

Which phone offers more memory and storage?
The cited M17e configuration has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, versus 4 GB and 64 GB on the cited M06 page. Samsung lists MicroSD support up to 1.5 TB for the M06; the cited M17e page does not state a comparable MicroSD figure. Because the compared configurations differ, treat this as a comparison of those specific variants rather than a like-for-like price-tier comparison.
How long will the phones receive software updates?
Samsung says the M17e will receive six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, with the period running from its first global launch date. The Samsung M17e product page gives that commitment. Samsung’s reviewed M06 material does not establish a directly comparable total-support duration. An official M06 update record shows a release dated 24 June 2026, but one update date does not prove the phone’s full future support period. See the Samsung M06 update record.
