Before buying, verify the exact Xbox-compatible model and the features supported by your games; similarly named PlayStation or PC versions may not work on Xbox.
This guide compares what manufacturers and Xbox Wire specify, not independent head-to-head test results. Published torque figures help distinguish product classes, but they do not by themselves predict how a wheel will feel in play.
Which Xbox racing wheel should you choose?
Start with the type of driving you enjoy and the setup you can accommodate. A casual player may value a straightforward bundle and simple mounting more than a high-output wheelbase. A dedicated sim racer may prioritize direct drive, pedal design and the ability to adjust controls. If you already own a compatible Turtle Beach K: Drive base, the F-RX is an add-on wheel rather than a complete system.
| Wheel | What the available sources establish | Best fit to consider |
|---|---|---|
| Logitech G920 | Described by TechRadar and GamesRadar as an Xbox-oriented force-feedback option. Confirm the current product listing and exact Xbox SKU before purchase. | Buyers considering a conventional, accessible wheel-and-pedal setup. |
| Logitech G923 | Xbox Wire describes a leather-stitched wheel, force feedback, RPM LEDs and pressure-sensitive pedals. | Buyers who want a familiar wheel-and-pedal bundle with visible shift lights. |
| Thrustmaster T128X | Xbox Wire calls it a plug-and-play Force Feedback entry wheel and describes magnetic technology, a wheel-and-pedal bundle and a four-color shift LED. | Entry-level buyers comparing a basic force-feedback bundle. |
| Thrustmaster T248X | Xbox Wire describes a stronger drive system than the T128X, multiple Force Feedback presets, an interactive screen and magnetic pedals with four pressure modes. | Buyers who want more built-in adjustment and display features. |
| Turtle Beach VelocityOne Race | Turtle Beach specifies Xbox and Windows support, a 7.2Nm K: Drive motor, a load-cell brake, telemetry display, magnetic paddle shifters, aluminum pedals and a configurable control unit. | Buyers seeking a feature-rich system with a load-cell brake. |
| Turtle Beach VelocityOne Race KD3 | Turtle Beach specifies Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows 10/11 support, 3.2Nm direct drive, up to 2,160° of rotation, adjustable aluminum pedals, a quick-profile display, desk clamp and mounting screws. | Buyers who want a compact direct-drive system with broad rotation and included mounting hardware. |
| Logitech G PRO Racing Wheel (Xbox/PC version) | Logitech specifies 11Nm direct drive and TRUEFORCE. The US product page displayed $999.99 when accessed in 2026; Xbox Wire’s article says pedals are sold separately. | Buyers considering a premium direct-drive wheel who are prepared to budget separately for pedals. |
The table reflects manufacturer specifications and editorial descriptions, not a controlled comparison of feel or performance. For context, Xbox Wire’s 2023 Forza Motorsport launch article names Logitech’s G923 and G PRO among its recommended wheels; GamesRadar’s recommendation of the G923 as an overall Xbox pick is an editorial verdict, not a lab result.

Do all racing wheels work on Xbox consoles?
No. Compatibility depends on the wheel’s exact model and platform version. A product that looks similar to an Xbox version may instead be intended for PlayStation or PC. Check the manufacturer’s page for the precise model code and confirm support for your console generation—Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S—before ordering. TechRadar also advises checking the product listing for compatibility: TechRadar’s racing-wheel guide.
Also check what is included in the box. A wheelbase may require separate pedals, and a physical wheel add-on may only work with a particular base. For example, Turtle Beach describes the VelocityOne F-RX as a formula-style add-on designed exclusively for the VelocityOne Race and Race KD3 K: Drive bases; it is not a standalone wheel system.

What differences matter most when comparing Xbox wheels?
Force feedback and direct drive
Force feedback conveys resistance and effects such as changes in grip through the wheel. Direct drive is a wheelbase design; it is not a guarantee that two products will feel alike. The manufacturers specify 11Nm for the Logitech G PRO, 7.2Nm for the original Turtle Beach VelocityOne Race and 3.2Nm for the VelocityOne Race KD3. Treat these figures as published specifications, not a universal ranking of feel: games, settings and the full hardware setup all matter.
Pedals and braking
The brake design can make a substantial difference to how you control a car. Turtle Beach calls the original VelocityOne Race brake a load-cell brake: it measures applied force rather than relying only on how far the pedal travels. The KD3 product page describes adjustable aluminum pedals, but does not identify them as load-cell pedals. Do not assume the KD3 shares the original Race’s brake technology.

- TRUEFORCE: Next-gen TRUEFORCE technology connects to game engines for high-definition feedback; experience the ultimate driving experience with processing at 4000 times per second
- Programmable dual clutch: Get off the starting line cleaner and faster; a programmable dual clutch simulates real race car launch assist right from the controller, when playing supported games
- Control your game: Fine-tune your speed with a built-in LED RPM indicator; integrated Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One or PC game controls, a 24-point selector and progressive brake spring keep steering under control
- Premium Racing Design: Refreshed Logitech G gear design includes premium materials like a hand-stitched black leather wheel cover and polished metal pedals; experience the pleasure of driving at home
- On-wheel game controls: Take charge of wheel sensitivity, force feedback levels and simulated steering; Logitech G Hub Gaming software enable button customization right from the controller
Rotation, controls and mounting
Rotation range, shifters, displays, buttons and mounting options affect how a wheel fits both your games and your room. Turtle Beach specifies up to 2,160° rotation for the KD3 and includes a desk clamp and mounting screws. The original Race adds a telemetry display and configurable control unit. Compare the exact bundle contents and dimensions against your desk or cockpit before buying.
Total setup cost and upgrade path
Compare the current cost of the complete setup, not just the wheelbase. Include pedals if they are sold separately, plus any compatible mounting hardware or add-ons you need. Consider whether a system has upgrades you actually expect to use; an accessory such as the F-RX only makes sense if you own one of its supported K: Drive bases.

Which Xbox games support racing wheels?
Examples of Xbox racing games listed by TechRadar include Forza Motorsport, Forza Horizon 5, The Crew Motorfest, EA Sports WRC, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Dirt 5 and F1 24. That list is not an exhaustive or current model-by-game compatibility matrix, so check the game’s current support information for your exact wheel and console.
Recognition is not the same as full feature support. Xbox Wire reported that Turn 10 and Designed for Xbox partners integrated wheel SDKs for Forza Motorsport, including button profiles, force-feedback calibration and in-game telemetry. That statement concerns Forza Motorsport and its 2023 launch context; it does not establish that a wheel’s display or telemetry features work in every other title. Xbox Wire also attributed this statement to Forza Motorsport Lead Physics Designer Aaron Brooks: “We have physically tested every wheel in our lab, with the team carefully tuning each one to amplify the experience of the new Forza Motorsport.” The quote refers to that game’s launch, not every wheel now on the market.

What should you verify before buying?
- Confirm the exact platform SKU. On the manufacturer’s product page, select the Xbox-compatible version and check support for your console generation.
- Check the game you plan to play. Confirm wheel recognition and, where relevant, support for special features such as telemetry, displays or force-feedback settings.
- Read the included-items list. Verify whether pedals are included, whether the brake is load-cell, and whether any add-on wheel requires a specific base.
- Match the mounting setup. Check whether the bundle includes a desk clamp or mounting screws and whether your desk or cockpit can accommodate it.
- Check current price and availability. Launch MSRPs and displayed prices are not guaranteed current retail prices; confirm the live listing and total cost of the setup.
What do the cited prices tell you?
Turtle Beach’s 2025 launch release listed US MSRPs of $649.99 for the original VelocityOne Race, $449.99 for the Race KD3 and $249.99 for the F-RX add-on. These are dated launch MSRPs, not promises of current retail pricing. Logitech’s US G PRO page displayed $999.99 when accessed in 2026, a listing price that may change. Check current listings before comparing total costs.
