Hostinger says this adds a noindex tag to the page.
Hide a page from search results
- In the AI Builder editor, open the SEO settings for the page you want to hide. You can open the SEO settings panel directly, or go to Pages and navigation, select the page’s settings, and choose SEO settings. See Hostinger’s manual-mode SEO settings instructions.
- Turn on Hide page from search results. Hostinger says this adds a
noindextag to the page. See Hostinger’s page-hiding instructions. - Update the website to publish the change.
Search visibility and navigation visibility are different
Removing a page from the navigation menu only removes its menu link; it does not make the page private. The page remains reachable at its URL and may still appear in search engines. Use the page’s SEO setting to signal that it should not appear in search results. Hostinger explains the navigation behavior in its manual-mode navigation guide.

What noindex does—and what it does not do
Google defines the noindex robots meta tag as a directive not to index a page or show it in Google Search. It does not prevent someone from opening the page through a direct URL or a link from another page. That makes it a search-visibility control, not access protection. See Google Search Central’s noindex guidance.
Google must be able to crawl the page to read its noindex directive. If crawling is blocked in robots.txt, Google may not see the directive, and the URL may still appear in results. Do not combine a crawl block with noindex as a way to remove a page from search. See Google’s explanation of crawl access and noindex.
#1 Best Overall
If the page is already in Google
Turning on the setting does not guarantee immediate removal. Google has to recrawl the accessible page and read the directive; timing varies. You can use Google Search Console’s URL Inspection tool to request a recrawl, but a request is not a promise of instant removal. See Google’s noindex and recrawl guidance.

If people should not be able to read the page, use password protection or remove the content instead of relying on noindex. The directive concerns search indexing; it does not restrict access. Google’s content-control guidance recommends password protection for private content.
