Xiaomi publishes India specifications for the Redmi, but the official POCO material available identifies POCO X8 and X8 Pro-family models—not an X8 Power 5G. Confirm the POCO model and regional SKU before treating any comparison or price gap as real.
Is POCO X8 Power 5G an official model?
The official POCO/Xiaomi sources located for this comparison do not establish a phone named POCO X8 Power 5G. POCO’s X8 specification page describes a POCO X8, while the UK POCO catalogue lists POCO X8, X8 Pro, and X8 Pro Max among the X8 range shown. Neither source identifies those models as “X8 Power.” They should not be silently substituted for the phone named in the comparison.
That identity gap matters: a meaningful comparison requires the exact model name and SKU, plus the same market and memory configuration. Until those details are established, claims about which phone is faster, has better cameras, or costs less are not verifiable for the two named products.

These specifications come from Xiaomi’s India specs page. The update commitment is a manufacturer statement on its product page, not an independent assessment of update delivery or phone performance.
What the POCO X8 evidence does—and does not—tell you
The official POCO X8 page lists an 8340mAh typical battery, 67W charging, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, a 50MP OIS main camera, and a 6.83-inch 1.5K display. Those are POCO X8 specifications, not verified specifications for a POCO X8 Power 5G. Applying them to the title’s alleged model would risk comparing the Redmi with the wrong phone.

Once the POCO identity is confirmed, compare the same regional versions and storage tier across processor and memory, display, all camera modules and video modes, battery and charging, durability, software-support commitment, and local price. In particular, a camera comparison should include the ultra-wide and selfie cameras as well as the main sensor; a headline megapixel number alone does not establish overall camera quality.

A Smartprix comparison result reports lowest-found prices of ₹35,999 for “POCO X8 Power 5G” and ₹39,999 for Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus, a ₹4,000 difference in that result. It does not establish that the POCO name refers to an officially identified model, that the two listings use matching storage configurations, which sellers are involved, or whether the prices are still live. Treat the figures as an unverified third-party listing comparison, not as official prices or confirmed savings.

For a fair local price check, confirm the exact POCO product and compare the same RAM/storage tier at the same time and in the same market. Xiaomi lists three India configurations for the Redmi, so a price attached to one tier should not be compared with a different tier as if the products were equivalent.
