NVIDIA’s RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell SFF Edition and RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell are two professional GPUs specified at a maximum board power of 70 W. Both are dual-slot cards measuring 2.7 inches high by 6.6 inches long, making them potential options for compact workstations—but neither the “SFF” name nor the 70 W rating guarantees compatibility or low total-PC power use.

Which two RTX PRO GPUs are under consideration?

Both cards use NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture and target professional workloads. The 4000 SFF is the higher-memory option; the 2000 has less memory and bandwidth but shares the same published maximum power and listed dimensions. NVIDIA’s live desktop GPU comparison and the RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell SFF Edition and RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell product pages list these specifications.

Specification RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell SFF Edition RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell
Maximum power 70 W 70 W
GPU memory 24 GB GDDR7 with ECC 16 GB GDDR7 with ECC
Memory bandwidth 432 GB/s 288 GB/s
Published AI TOPS 770; NVIDIA footnotes this as theoretical FP4 TOPS using sparsity 545
Size and slot width 2.7 in high × 6.6 in long; dual slot 2.7 in high × 6.6 in long; dual slot
Display connectors 4 × DisplayPort 2.1b 4 × mini DisplayPort 2.1b

These are NVIDIA-published specifications, not independent benchmark results. The RTX PRO 2000 figures are also listed in NVIDIA’s June 2026 RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell datasheet.

What does the 70 W rating mean for a low-power PC?

NVIDIA lists 70 W as the maximum power for each GPU. That makes them plausible candidates where GPU power is constrained, but the number describes the GPU—not the complete workstation. CPU, memory, storage, fans, and other components add to system consumption, and the specification does not show how much power a particular workload will use or save.

Check the power budget and requirements of the complete system rather than treating 70 W as a total-PC figure. NVIDIA lists active cooling for both models, so a compact enclosure still needs adequate airflow.

Which card makes more sense for your workload?

Choose the 4000 SFF when memory capacity matters

Its 24 GB of GDDR7 ECC memory and 432 GB/s bandwidth give it more memory capacity and bandwidth than the 2000. NVIDIA lists the card for edge AI, design and visualization, manufacturing, and video. Those categories describe intended positioning; they do not establish performance in a particular application.

NVIDIA’s 770 AI TOPS figure is specifically footnoted as theoretical FP4 TOPS using sparsity. It is a peak specification, not an independent measure of application speed.

Consider the 2000 for a lower specified tier

The RTX PRO 2000 has 16 GB of GDDR7 ECC memory, 288 GB/s bandwidth, and a published 545 AI TOPS. NVIDIA positions it for generative AI, 3D modeling and rendering, content creation, CAD, and productivity. Match those specifications to your application’s memory and performance needs; the published TOPS value alone cannot determine how quickly it will complete your work.

  • AI WorkstationEnterprise Reliability: Optimized and certified for over 100 professional ISV applications, featuring a dual-slot thermal design.

Will either card fit your workstation?

Both are listed as 2.7 inches high, 6.6 inches long, and dual slot. The “SFF Edition” label on the 4000 does not make it a single-slot card or guarantee that it fits every small-form-factor PC. Before ordering, compare those dimensions and slot requirements with your chassis and available motherboard space, and confirm that the case can provide airflow around an actively cooled GPU.

Also plan for the different display connections. The 4000 SFF has four DisplayPort 2.1b ports; the 2000 has four mini DisplayPort 2.1b ports. Check your monitor cables and whether you need adapters, then verify the exact board and included accessories with the seller.

Where can you check availability?

NVIDIA directs buyers to its Marketplace or partners. Its product pages are the appropriate starting points for finding current purchase channels, but regional inventory and prices can vary. NVIDIA’s earlier compact-workstation announcement named PNY, TD SYNNEX, BOXX, Dell Technologies, HP, and Lenovo in connection with expected availability; that dated announcement is not evidence that a particular model is in stock now.
