What the update policy means
Samsung’s product page lists 2 years of OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates, but expressly says these are current plans, not a commitment or obligation. Samsung also says update timing and content may change.

Samsung’s update log for model SM-M055F includes an Android 15 / One UI 7.0 upgrade entry and a security-patch entry dated 5 May 2026. The log cautions that changes can differ by model, country and service provider; an entry does not establish that every Galaxy M05 has received that update. Check Samsung’s SM-M055F update history and the update status on the specific handset.
Is Samsung Galaxy M05 worth buying?
Whether it is a good buy depends on its current price and your priorities. The official specifications establish a large HD+ screen, a 50MP main camera paired with a depth sensor, expandable storage and a 5,000mAh typical-capacity battery.
