That route is reported in a Samsung Members community answer, rather than formal support documentation, and the labels or location may differ by app version. Samsung identifies Home Up as the module for Home Gesture Animation customization.
Reset a Home Up gesture animation
- Open Good Lock and select Home Up.
- Open Animation, then tap Reset.
- Check the home gesture to see whether its default animation has returned.
The path Good Lock → Home Up → Animation → Reset is reported in a Samsung Members community response. Samsung’s Home Up feature overview places gesture animation customization under Good Lock → Home Up → Gesture Settings. Because those sources describe the controls differently, check the labels in your installed version rather than assuming every version has the same menu organization.

Check what kind of animation you changed
“Fold animation” can refer to different behavior. The reset path above applies to a Home Up gesture animation; it is not a universal reset for every animation on a foldable Galaxy phone.
Home or navigation gesture animation
Look in Home Up’s gesture settings for the animation control and its reset option. Samsung describes Home Gesture Animation as a Home Up feature. If the reported Reset option is missing, the available sources do not establish a single alternative path for every Galaxy model and software version.

Cover-screen behavior when folding
Android’s fold lock behavior setting concerns what happens to the cover display when you fold the phone. It is distinct from a Home Up animation reset. Samsung’s guidance on app continuity across fold and unfold configuration changes likewise addresses maintaining app state, not restoring a gesture animation.
Boot or shutdown animation
A boot or shutdown animation is a separate setting. Samsung Knox documents administrator-managed boot and shutdown animation customization; that control is not the Home Up gesture animation reset.

If you cannot find Reset
- Confirm that the changed effect is a Home Up gesture animation, not cover-screen behavior or a startup/shutdown animation.
- Check the menu labels in the Good Lock and Home Up versions installed on your phone; the documented gesture customization area is Home Up → Gesture Settings.
- If the setting still is not apparent, identify your Galaxy model, One UI and Home Up versions, and the exact animation setting you changed before seeking model-specific help. The cited sources do not establish one reset route for all versions.
