Incremental Orbits: satellites and a space-company economy
Incremental Orbits on Steam is the clearest match if satellites are central to what you want. Steam describes it as a short incremental management game in which you run a space company, discover planets, launch satellites, research upgrades, and build money and resources. Planets generate income after discovery; satellites can be assigned roles that support income, science points, or resource extraction.
The listed long-term goal is to make the sun explode and turn it into a black hole, giving the management loop an intentionally outsized endpoint. Steam lists bytecatch as both developer and publisher. Its user-defined tags include Incremental, Idler, Space, Exploration, and Management; these are Steam users’ descriptors, not a formal genre certification. The store listing calls the game short, so the available evidence does not establish a long campaign or a deep space simulation.
At the time of the October 2026 check, 87% of 24 Steam user reviews were positive. That is a small, changing snapshot rather than a stable measure of quality.

SPACEPLAN on Steam suits players who want a planetary mystery more than a management game. Its store description centers on clicking and elapsed time to create and launch potato-based devices and probes from a satellite orbiting a mysterious planet. Steam lists 15 unlockable items, a story, and mysteries spanning five planets across two realities.
SPACEPLAN was developed by Jake Hollands and published by Devolver Digital; Steam gives its release date as May 3, 2017. Its premise is deliberately silly, so it is best approached as a humorous sci-fi clicker, not a realistic spaceflight simulation. Steam’s accessed listing showed 90% positive from 2,102 English-language reviews in October 2026; review totals and percentages can change.
