Before you leave The Spire
Walkthroughs report that you need Reach to cross the gap to the island. They say it becomes available after completing The Subway Fault; this is reported progression guidance, not confirmation from official game documentation. If you cannot make the crossing, check whether you have unlocked Reach.
The route is in the Underpass. Fast travel to The Spire to begin, then head toward the orange-pipe island. Remedy identifies CONTROL Resonant as a game developed and published by Remedy Entertainment on its official game page.
Cross the floating pillars to the orange-pipe island
- From The Spire, approach the gap. Look toward the island marked by the orange pipes.
- Use the floating pillars. Cross between them, using Reach points where they are available to traverse the gap.
- Land on the island. Walkthroughs describe a Fast Travel Door there, which can serve as a landmark before you continue into the pipe structure.
Find and clear the chamber
Continue behind or through the orange-pipe structure, following the visible passage and your objective marker. Published walkthroughs describe the approach differently: one points to a chamber behind the pipes, while another describes climbing toward an illuminated entrance and descending into a lower chamber. Follow the passage you can see rather than relying on either description as an exact turn-by-turn route.

Mold or fungal enemies are reported in the chamber along this route. Defeat them to proceed, then continue down the corridor toward the Fault.
Reach the Fault and follow its prompt
Keep following the passage through the structure toward the central Fault area. Walkthrough accounts disagree about whether the final interaction is with a portal, a fissure, or a TV. At the Fault, use the interaction prompt displayed in your game rather than searching for one specific object based on a written description.

- You cannot cross the gap: Check that Reach is unlocked; walkthroughs link it to completing The Subway Fault.
- You are unsure which way to go inside the pipes: Use the objective marker and follow the visible route toward the illuminated entrance or chamber.
- You have reached the chamber but cannot continue: Clear the Mold or fungal enemies, then follow the corridor toward the Fault.
- The Fault interaction does not match a guide: Follow the in-game prompt; published descriptions differ on the object used to enter.
