Look for the Birthday Sprite in Rare Chests or through Cheat Codes. Recent guides point to Temple Vaults near the Mega Maze Landmark and Stone Sanctum as promising places to search, but none is a confirmed or guaranteed spawn location. The Birthday Sprite is reported to give chest openings a chance to produce Birthday Cake slices, with eliminations also able to produce cake once the Sprite reaches its maximum level.
Where to find the Birthday Sprite
Start by searching Rare Chests and using Cheat Codes. A Beebom guide published September 26, 2026, highlights Temple Vaults near the Mega Maze Landmark and Stone Sanctum as areas to try: Beebom’s Birthday Sprite guide. These are suggested search areas, not verified spawn points; the guide does not establish exact odds or guarantee that a Sprite will appear there.
All Things How also recommends searching near Fortnite Birthday Cake locations, describing this as a tactic rather than a fixed spawn rule: All Things How’s location guide. Since map placement and item availability can change, check the live match rather than relying on a location as certain.
What the Birthday Sprite does
According to Beebom’s report, opening chests while carrying the Birthday Sprite can produce a Birthday Cake slice, and the chance reportedly improves as the Sprite levels. At maximum level, eliminations can also spawn cake. These Birthday Sprite-specific details come from a secondary guide; Epic’s general Sprite support page does not confirm the effect or its scaling. No official drop-rate percentage is established.

How to use and level a Sprite
Epic says Sprites can be found and equipped during a match to receive a special Sprite Power. Its general guidance says Sprites level through exploration, eliminations, and surviving the Storm: Epic Games Player Support: What are Sprites in Fortnite? That guidance applies to Sprites generally; it does not provide a Birthday Sprite-specific pickup or extraction route.
Epic also says Sprites are unavailable in competitive modes. If you are carrying one, be aware that an unequipped Sprite can be left on the battlefield for another player to pick up if you are eliminated before banking it.
