Adobe Lightroom for iOS and Android is free to download and includes capture, organization, sharing, and most editing tools. The “pro editor” description is a judgment about that breadth of features—not a claim that Lightroom has been independently tested for speed or image quality. Some advanced tools and broader cross-device workflows require a paid plan.
What is free in Lightroom mobile, and what requires Premium?
Adobe says the free mobile tier includes all capture, organization, and sharing features, along with most editing tools. That makes it useful for editing phone photos without subscribing, but “most” does not mean every feature is available at no cost. Adobe’s Lightroom mobile FAQ describes the free offering.
Adobe identifies cloud storage, syncing across devices, healing, masking, geometry adjustments, batch editing, RAW editing, and Sensei-powered search as premium features in its FAQ. Its premium-feature guidance also names Masking, Lens Blur, and Generative Remove as mobile upgrades. Check the feature and plan details in Adobe’s current documentation before subscribing, since feature availability can change.
Does a mobile subscription include Lightroom on desktop?
No—not when the subscription is purchased through the iOS App Store or Google Play. Adobe’s mobile subscription instructions say those purchases enable premium features on mobile only. A separate Adobe plan may cover a wider workflow: Adobe’s US Lightroom plan page lists Lightroom on mobile, desktop, and web, as well as Lightroom Classic.

Before paying, compare the actual purchase channel and plan against how you work. A phone-only subscription is different from an Adobe plan that includes desktop and web access; do not assume that buying Premium inside the app unlocks every Lightroom app or device.
How much does Lightroom mobile cost?
Adobe’s US Lightroom page listed US$11.99 per month for an annual plan billed monthly when accessed on October 4, 2026. That listing included 1 TB of cloud storage and Lightroom on mobile, desktop, and web, plus Lightroom Classic. It is a dated US offer, not a universal price or a month-to-month plan price. Adobe’s mobile FAQ also frames the decision around what is included free and what Premium adds. If you only need the free editing tools, you can use the app without subscribing; if you want specific premium tools or a broader device workflow, confirm that the plan you select includes them.
How much cloud storage is free?
Adobe’s cloud-sync guidance, last updated June 5, 2026, says the free tier includes 5 GB of storage shared across Adobe apps. Premium plans offer expanded storage and automatic syncing across desktop, mobile, and web. Adobe advises checking which sync features are included if you choose a mobile-only plan. Can you edit camera RAW files on a phone?
Adobe documents importing RAW photos directly to a mobile device, provided you have a compatible connection and card-reading setup. The accessory depends on the phone or tablet: Adobe describes a USB On-The-Go cable for Android and a Lightning-to-SD card adapter for iOS. Match the adapter or reader to both the device connector and the camera card; it is optional for ordinary phone-photo editing. See Adobe’s RAW import instructions.
