To make a Hindsight-powered demo easy to follow, show the current scan, the recommendation, and how the recommendation changes alongside the actions and outcomes remembered from earlier scans. A viewer should be able to connect the history to the new output—not just see a latest recommendation or a list of backend records.
What the viewer needs to understand
Rida Tabassum’s September 29, 2026 account of frontend work for a GEO agent centers on a presentation problem: a technically correct system can still be difficult to understand when its interface hides the relationship between remembered history and the latest recommendation. The proposed interface keeps three things in view:
- The current scan: what the agent is assessing now.
- The recommendation: what the agent suggests doing.
- Change across scans: which earlier actions and outcomes provide context for the current recommendation.
That third element makes the memory loop visible. Showing only the newest recommendation leaves the viewer to guess why it changed. Tabassum describes a design rationale, not a measured improvement in audience comprehension or recommendation quality.
Build the demo around a stable data contract
The frontend does not need to know how the Scan Agent creates queries or how Hindsight stores history. It needs predictable data to render the scan, recommendation, and relevant context. Tabassum describes agreeing on a data shape so interface work could begin with fake JSON before the backend was ready.

The example fields are:

With those fields held stable, sample data can drive the first version of the UI; later, real API calls can replace the fake JSON. This reduces the need to couple the presentation layer to the backend’s internal implementation. It does not mean the sample data should be presented as real history.
Show the history in three meaningful moments
Tabassum proposes a 60–90-second story using three points from a ten-scan synthetic history. Rather than asking the audience to watch ten cycles, the demo moves from a baseline to remembered context and then to a more developed recommendation.

- Scan 1 — establish the baseline. Show the initial scan and recommendation, with no prior action history.
- Scan 5 — connect an action to its outcome. Bring forward relevant past actions and outcomes in Hindsight, then show the recommendation in that context.
- Scan 10 — show accumulated experience. Display the additional history and the more specific recommendation the demo is intended to illustrate.
Keep the relevant history next to the recommendation at each stop. The point is to make the path from earlier action and outcome to current output legible. The proposed progression illustrates the intended narrative; it is not evidence that recommendation quality improved.
Label synthetic history honestly
A ten-scan sequence can compress a process that would otherwise take longer to show, but Tabassum explicitly describes the proposed history as synthetic. Mark it clearly in the interface or narration—for example, “Illustrative synthetic scan history”—and do not imply that ten real scans occurred during the presentation. Distinguish simulated records from live scans wherever both appear.

Keep Hindsight’s documented concepts separate from this implementation
Hindsight’s official Reflect documentation describes reflect() as an agentic loop that gathers evidence and reasons in the context of a memory bank’s disposition. Its documented retrieval path checks mental models, observations, and then raw facts; an agent can use tools to retrieve and expand evidence, and the final response can cite memories used. The documentation says the loop can run for up to ten iterations. These are product-documentation details, not proof that Tabassum’s GEO agent uses this exact API or configuration; check the current documentation before relying on them for implementation.
The Mental Models documentation describes a mental model as a standing answer to a question about a memory bank. The question is defined once, and Hindsight stores and refreshes the answer as relevant knowledge changes. The docs distinguish these curated summaries from automatically produced observations and atomic facts, and describe scope, freshness signals, source provenance, and previous versions.

These concepts help explain how accumulated knowledge can be organized and brought into a later response. They should not be conflated with details of the GEO-agent implementation, which the practitioner account does not establish.

The design is a way to explain a proposed memory loop: present a scan, show the relevant remembered action and outcome, and make the recommendation’s change visible. Tabassum’s article does not report a user study, quantitative comprehension result, controlled comparison, or measured improvement in recommendation quality. Treat the 60–90-second format as the author’s suggested presentation length, not a tested benchmark.
