At-a-glance specifications
The OnePlus column below reflects 91mobiles reporting only; no official OnePlus specification page was available in the cited sources. Redmi specifications are taken from Xiaomi’s UK page to keep the comparison within one defined regional SKU. The UK variant is listed with 6GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB storage. Do not assume these specifications, network bands, battery capacity, or box contents apply to Redmi models sold elsewhere.

Display: Redmi’s higher resolution is the clearest reported advantage
Xiaomi specifies a 6.99-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with resolution of 2396 × 1080 and refresh rate up to 120Hz for the UK Redmi. 91mobiles instead reports a 6.8-inch, 720 × 1570 LCD running at 120Hz for the OnePlus. If those OnePlus figures are accurate, the Redmi offers both a larger screen and substantially more pixels, while both are listed at the same maximum refresh rate. The OnePlus screen details have not been confirmed by the manufacturer. Xiaomi UK specifications; 91mobiles comparison
Performance and memory: compare cautiously
91mobiles attributes a MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex and 4GB RAM to the OnePlus; Xiaomi lists Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 and 6GB RAM for the UK Redmi. Chip names alone do not establish which phone will feel faster in day-to-day use, and there are no controlled benchmark results here. RAM and storage variants also matter: Xiaomi’s UK page lists 6GB+128GB and 6GB+256GB, plus microSD expansion up to 2TB through a hybrid SIM slot. The OnePlus storage capacity and expansion details are not established in the cited comparison.

Cameras: megapixels do not settle image quality
91mobiles lists a 50MP rear camera and 8MP selfie camera for OnePlus. Xiaomi UK specifies a 50MP main rear camera and a 16MP front camera for the Redmi. These specifications do not show how image processing, low-light performance, video recording, or secondary cameras compare, so they are not enough to declare a camera winner. Xiaomi’s UK figures are regional manufacturer specifications; the OnePlus values remain third-party reporting. Xiaomi UK specifications; 91mobiles comparison
Battery and charging: Xiaomi capacity varies by region
For the UK Redmi, Xiaomi lists a 7700mAh typical battery and 45W charging. Its India specification page instead lists an 8000mAh typical battery, 45W wired charging, and up to 22.5W wired reverse charging, with a 45W adapter in the box. The Global page also lists 7700mAh typical capacity. These figures should not be blended: use the specification for the market where the phone is sold. Xiaomi says its battery claims are based on internal testing and that actual results vary with use and conditions. Xiaomi UK specifications; Xiaomi India specifications; Xiaomi Global product page

- Large 5000mAh Battery: Provides long-lasting power for all-day use
- 6.49 Inch Full HD+ Display: Features a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and vivid visuals
- Octa-Core Processor: Runs at lightning-fast speeds for seamless multitasking
- Triple Camera System: Includes 13MP main, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth lenses for crisp, detailed photos
- 5G Capable: Connects to the fastest network speeds for lightning-fast downloads and streaming
For the OnePlus, 91mobiles reports 8000mAh and 45W charging; no official manufacturer confirmation was found. Capacity alone cannot predict runtime because screen, software, signal conditions, and usage also affect battery life.
Software support: Xiaomi has the clearer published commitment
Xiaomi India advertises four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. This is a stated India-market commitment; the cited material does not independently establish that the same terms apply to every regional Redmi SKU. 91mobiles reports two years of OS updates and three years of security updates for the OnePlus, but those terms were not corroborated by OnePlus documentation. For anyone keeping a phone for several years, Xiaomi’s published India policy is the better-supported promise in this comparison. Xiaomi India update policy; 91mobiles comparison

Which phone makes more sense?
- Consider the Redmi Note 17 5G if its local version matches Xiaomi’s published specifications and you prioritize a higher-resolution AMOLED screen, expandable storage on the UK variant, or Xiaomi’s stated India software-support period.
- Consider the OnePlus only after verification if the lower listed price matters most. Confirm that the N6 5G is the exact model being sold, its RAM/storage configuration, official specifications, update policy, warranty, and seller before relying on the comparison-page claims.
- Recheck the price comparison locally. The ₹3,000 difference is a 91mobiles snapshot, not a guaranteed current or like-for-like offer.
On the available evidence, the Redmi’s listed premium corresponds to stronger reported screen specifications and a more clearly published update commitment. A firm value verdict is not possible until the OnePlus model and both phones’ comparable local variants and live prices are verified.
