To set up Netflix on an LG Smart TV, connect the TV to the internet, press Home, open Apps or LG Content Store, search for Netflix, and select Install. Open the app and sign in. The menu depends on the TV’s webOS version, and Netflix availability depends on the exact model and country.
Install Netflix from the LG app store
Before you begin, connect the TV to the internet. LG says an LG Account is required to access network-based smart services on its U.S. webOS platform; requirements may depend on the TV and region. Installing Netflix does not include a Netflix subscription, so you may need an eligible subscription to watch.
- Press Home on the LG remote.
- Open the app area available on your TV. On newer interfaces such as webOS 22, select Apps. On webOS 5.0, select LG Content Store.
- Search for Netflix, select the app, and choose Install.
- When installation finishes, choose Launch.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to sign in to Netflix.

Netflix is missing: check model and region availability
A Netflix listing for one LG TV generation does not guarantee the app is available on every LG TV or in every country. LG Spain lists compatibility across webOS 1.0 through webOS 25, corresponding to listed model years 2014–2025, but directs customers to check the catalog for their specific TV. LG also says app availability varies by model and country, and content can change without notice.

- Find the exact model number of your TV in its settings or on its product label.
- Check the LG Content Store catalog for your country and that specific model. LG’s guide to finding LG Content Store apps explains how to check the catalog.
- Confirm the webOS version supported by your model and whether Netflix appears in the catalog. LG’s Netflix compatibility page is a reference list, not a promise of availability for every set or region.
If the exact model and country catalog does not list Netflix, you cannot install the TV app through that catalog. An HDMI streaming player is an optional alternative if the TV has a suitable free HDMI input. It is not needed when Netflix is available in the built-in store.
If Netflix will not install or connect
First check whether the TV can reach the internet. If the connection is the problem, LG Argentina’s regional support guidance suggests trying another Wi-Fi network or a wired LAN connection, restarting the TV and network equipment, reinstalling the app, and updating the TV software. Its article was published in 2023, so exact menu paths and fixes may differ on your model; consult current LG support guidance for your country.

If other network services work but Netflix is absent from the app catalog, return to the model-and-region check rather than treating it as a connection fault. LG notes that supported apps vary by model and country. Its U.S. webOS information also explains that separate service subscriptions may be required and that HDMI-connected devices can provide access to content without relying on the TV’s network services.
