The Lava Blaze Curve 5G is worth considering if you want a distinctive curved 120Hz AMOLED display, clean software and capable everyday performance at a value-phone price. Its cameras are less consistent, and the curved edges bring practical trade-offs. Whether it is a good buy depends on the price and stock you can actually find: Lava’s product page displays ₹17,999, but that alone does not confirm availability or a checkout offer.
What stands out about the Lava Blaze Curve 5G?
The curved AMOLED screen is the phone’s clearest selling point. Lava lists a 120Hz refresh rate and Widevine L1 support; launch coverage specifies a 6.67-inch FHD+ panel. In its March 2024 review, 91mobiles described the display as vivid, but also noted that the curved sides can trigger accidental touches and that outdoor readability may be limited. The shape looks distinctive, but it is not an unqualified usability advantage.

The phone pairs a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. 91mobiles recorded an AnTuTu score of 575,509 in its 2024 review test; that is a review-specific result, not a guarantee of performance in every app or software version. The reviewer also reported that the handset retained 89 percent of peak performance in a 30-minute, 50-thread CPU throttling test. For routine use, reviews describe performance as capable. MySmartPrice reported warmth during extended gaming, so demanding sessions are a more qualified use case.

The important caveat is the phone’s age: it launched with Android 13. At launch, Lava stated that Android 14 and Android 15 upgrades would follow, and launch coverage reported quarterly security updates for three years. Those were launch commitments; they do not establish the phone’s current operating-system version or security-patch status in October 2026.

Camera quality: usable main camera, weaker supporting lenses
The rear camera setup consists of a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera; the front camera is 32MP. In favorable light, reviewers found the main camera usable. Their reservations were about less consistent detail and dynamic range, especially in difficult lighting. The ultrawide and macro cameras were less impressive, making this a weaker choice if versatile camera results are a priority.
The reviews do not support treating the megapixel counts as a promise of image quality. If you often shoot scenes with challenging light or rely on the secondary cameras, compare sample images from phones at the same current price before deciding.
Battery life, charging and audio
The Blaze Curve 5G has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W charging. 91mobiles reported a full day of use in its review and measured 16 hours and 39 minutes in its PCMark battery test. That lab-style result is specific to the outlet’s test conditions, not a predicted screen-on time for every owner. MySmartPrice reported a full charge in 2 hours and 13 minutes using the included 33W charger in its 2024 test; your result can vary with conditions and usage.

Lava Blaze Curve 5G pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate | Curved edges can cause accidental touches and may be harder to read in strong sunlight |
| Clean, near-stock software experience reported by reviewers | Launched with Android 13; current update and patch status is not established by launch commitments |
| Capable routine performance and stereo speakers | Camera results are less convincing in difficult light, and the ultrawide and macro are weaker |
| 5,000mAh battery delivered a full day in 91mobiles’ testing | Extended gaming may make the handset warm, according to MySmartPrice |
| 128GB or 256GB storage options | No microSD slot was reported by 91mobiles, so capacity cannot be expanded that way |
Price and availability: distinguish today’s listing from launch pricing
Lava’s product page displays ₹17,999 and lists an MRP of ₹21,999. The page does not, by itself, establish current stock, a variant-specific price or the amount payable at checkout: Lava Blaze Curve 5G product page.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who should buy the Lava Blaze Curve 5G?
Consider it if the display and clean software matter most
It makes the strongest case for buyers who value a curved, high-refresh AMOLED screen, stereo audio and straightforward everyday performance. Check whether you are comfortable with the curved edges, particularly if accidental touches or outdoor legibility are concerns.
Look elsewhere if cameras, gaming or expandable storage lead your priorities
Camera-focused buyers should compare low-light and ultrawide results carefully. If you play demanding games for long sessions, account for the reported warmth. And because the review found no microSD slot, choose between the 128GB and 256GB versions based on how much local storage you expect to need.
Compare alternatives using current prices and support details
In its March 2024 review, 91mobiles pointed to the Redmi Note 13 for camera performance and the Realme 12 for faster charging on paper. Those are historical comparisons, not current recommendations: models, prices and software-support timelines change. Compare the phones available to you on display readability, camera consistency, gaming heat, charging, storage and remaining update support before choosing.
How the review scores fit into the decision
91mobiles gave the phone 7.4/10 in Ashish Kumar’s review published March 14, 2024, and updated March 15. MySmartPrice gave it 7.8 in a review published April 17, 2024, and updated April 19. These are each outlet’s own ratings, not a shared scoring standard; use them as context alongside the strengths and limitations above.
