In India, the OPPO A5 Pro 5G (CPH2695) and vivo V50 target different priorities. The V50 lists a sharper AMOLED display, three 50MP cameras, and 90W charging; the A5 Pro launched at a much lower price and carries additional durability claims from OPPO. Their lowest listed launch variants differed by ₹17,000, but those are historical launch prices—not current offers.
India launch prices: the A5 Pro started lower
OPPO announced the A5 Pro 5G on 24 April 2025. Its India launch prices were ₹17,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₹19,999 for 8GB/256GB, according to OPPO India.
A vivo India community launch-event post dated 18 February 2025 listed the V50 at ₹34,999 for 8GB/128GB, ₹36,999 for 8GB/256GB, and ₹40,999 for 12GB/512GB (vivo India community). Comparing the lowest listed launch configurations, the V50 cost ₹17,000 more at launch. This is a historical comparison, not a current-price difference.
Prices and stock can change. Check current India listings for the same storage configuration before buying. A vivo India Store result showed ₹48,999 for the V50 12GB/512GB listing when accessed in 2026; it is a time-specific observation for that configuration, not a like-for-like comparison with the A5 Pro launch prices (vivo India Store).

How the spec differences affect the choice
Display: V50 has the higher listed resolution
Both phones list refresh rates up to 120Hz, but the panels differ: vivo specifies a 2392 × 1080 AMOLED screen, while OPPO specifies a 1604 × 720 LCD. The V50 therefore has the sharper display on paper. These figures do not establish comparative brightness, color accuracy, or outdoor visibility.
Processing: different chips, no direct speed result
The A5 Pro lists MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 and the V50 lists Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. Those model names alone do not establish how much faster one phone feels or performs in a particular app; no comparable benchmark or independent speed test is available here.

Battery and charging: higher listed capacity and wattage on V50
vivo lists a 6000mAh typical battery and 90W FlashCharge for the V50; OPPO lists 5800mAh typical and 45W charging for the A5 Pro. Capacity and rated charging power do not tell you actual battery life or how long a full charge takes under real-world conditions.

Durability: read the ratings as manufacturer claims
OPPO’s India launch release says the A5 Pro has IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications and was tested against 14 MIL-STD-810H-2022 conditions. vivo lists IP68 and IP69 for the V50. These are manufacturer-published ratings and claims; they do not mean either phone is damage-proof.

- Consider the vivo V50 if its listed AMOLED resolution, 50MP front camera, pair of 50MP rear cameras, or 90W charging matter most to you—and its current price fits your budget.
- Consider the OPPO A5 Pro 5G if a lower documented India launch price and OPPO’s published durability claims are more important than the V50’s listed display and camera hardware.
- Compare current equivalent configurations before deciding: the launch-price gap does not guarantee the same gap in today’s retail offers.
OPPO’s India model is the A5 Pro 5G (CPH2695). OPPO also uses the A5 Pro name for different regional products, so global or China-market A5 Pro specifications should not be substituted for this India comparison. See OPPO India’s A5 Pro 5G page and OPPO’s separate global A5 Pro page.
