OPPO F29 Pro specifications and India launch details
OPPO India announced the F29 series on 20 March 2025 and said the F29 Pro would go on sale in India from 1 April 2025. The prices below are the announced launch prices, not current street prices.

Is the OPPO F29 Pro durable?
Durability is the F29 Pro’s defining pitch. Its multiple IP ratings, reinforced front glass and aluminium frame are intended to offer added resistance to dust, water and everyday wear. Independent reviews also regard its build as a strength, while noting that the phone keeps a relatively conventional, slim appearance despite its large battery.

These ratings are not a promise that the phone will survive every spill, immersion or fall. OPPO itself cautions that mobile phones remain at risk from drops and impacts. Treat the ratings as protection under specified test conditions, not as a reason to handle the device carelessly or assume damage is covered.
Display and day-to-day performance
The 6.7-inch AMOLED panel combines FHD+ resolution with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, making scrolling and animations feel smooth. Reviewers describe the display as bright and fluid, which suits browsing, video and general phone use. The quad-curved edges contribute to the design, though buyers who prefer flat screens may want to try the phone in person.
The Dimensity 7300 Energy handles routine tasks such as messaging, social apps, browsing and multitasking well enough for a mid-range phone. It is less convincing for sustained demanding gaming. In 91mobiles’ 30-minute BGMI test, the phone averaged 29FPS; that is one publication’s test result, not a guaranteed frame rate across games, settings or updates. If gaming performance is a major reason for your purchase, a more powerful alternative is the safer choice.

How good are the cameras?
The rear setup has a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 2MP depth camera. 91mobiles found the main camera dependable in several lighting conditions, making it suitable for ordinary photos. The OIS can help reduce blur from hand movement, but it does not add new perspectives or replace a more capable secondary camera.

There is no ultrawide or telephoto camera. That limits flexibility for group shots, landscapes and distant subjects: you are mostly relying on the main camera and digital cropping rather than switching to a wider or optical zoom view. The 16MP front camera covers selfies and video calls. Overall, the F29 Pro is a reasonable choice for straightforward main-camera use, not for people who want a versatile camera system.
Battery life and charging
The 6000mAh typical-equivalent battery is a strong practical advantage, and independent reviewers report good endurance. Results vary with brightness, network conditions, apps and testing method, so treat each figure as a reviewer’s experience rather than a runtime guarantee.

The 80W SUPERVOOC support makes wired charging a notable feature, and reviews say a charger is included. For the supported charging behavior, use a compatible charger and cable rather than assuming a generic fast charger will deliver the same speed. OPPO also makes a five-year battery-retention claim, but qualifies it as a theoretical projection from laboratory testing that assumes one charge per day; it projects more than 80% capacity after five years, not a guaranteed result for every owner.
ColorOS, preinstalled apps and update support
ColorOS 15, based on Android 15 at launch, includes AI features. 91mobiles highlighted tools such as AI Summary and AI Write as useful additions. The experience also comes with preinstalled apps that reviewers describe as bloatware, so expect to spend some time removing or disabling apps you do not want.
OPPO’s stated launch support commitment was two years of OS updates and three years of security updates. That is the published commitment for the phone; check OPPO’s current support information for the applicable region and any later changes.

Consider the F29 Pro if you value water-and-dust resistance, a strong battery, fast charging and a smooth screen more than specialized cameras or top-tier performance. It is a polished everyday-use phone with a clear durability-and-endurance focus.
Skip it if you regularly shoot ultrawide landscapes or zoomed subjects, want the strongest gaming performance in your budget, or expect a longer published software-support commitment. Compare the current price of the exact storage variant against alternatives, paying particular attention to durability, battery and charging, camera focal lengths, gaming capability, software clutter and update terms.
