Choose the POCO M7 Pro 5G for its AMOLED display, main-camera OIS, 20MP selfie camera, faster listed charging, and lighter body. Choose the POCO M7 Plus 5G for its larger 6.9-inch screen, up-to-144Hz refresh rate, and larger stated battery. The available price comparison shows a ₹2,000 gap in one India retailer snapshot, but it is not a current or universal price quote.
POCO M7 Pro vs POCO M7 Plus: specifications at a glance
The M7 Pro specifications below are listed on Xiaomi/POCO’s global product pages. M7 Plus specifications come from secondary comparison sources; no official M7 Plus specification page was identified in the sources used here. Details may vary by region.
| Specification | POCO M7 Pro 5G | POCO M7 Plus 5G | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.67-inch AMOLED; 2400 × 1080; up to 120Hz | 6.9-inch IPS LCD; 2340 × 1080; up to 144Hz | Pro favors panel type and pixel density; Plus favors screen size and maximum refresh rate. A higher refresh-rate ceiling alone does not mean better image quality. |
| Processor | MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra | Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 | They use different platforms; available comparison-page benchmark scores are not a controlled head-to-head test. |
| Rear cameras | 50MP main camera with OIS, plus 2MP depth camera | 50MP main camera listed | Pro has a listed optical stabilization feature and an additional depth camera. Megapixel counts do not establish photo quality. |
| Front camera | 20MP | 8MP | Pro has the higher listed selfie-camera resolution. |
| Battery and charging | 5110mAh typical; 45W charging | 7000mAh; 33W charging | Plus has greater stated capacity; Pro has higher-wattage charging. These figures do not establish actual runtime or charging time. |
| Dimensions and weight | 162.4 × 75.7 × 7.99mm; 190g | 168.5 × 80.5 × 8.4mm; 217g | Pro is the more compact and lighter option in the cited listings. |

Which phone has the better display?
The answer depends on whether you prefer an AMOLED panel or a bigger, faster-refreshing screen. Xiaomi lists the M7 Pro’s 6.67-inch AMOLED display at 2400 × 1080 and up to 120Hz, with peak brightness of 2100 nits. The M7 Plus is listed by comparison sources with a 6.9-inch IPS LCD at 2340 × 1080 and up to 144Hz.

- Pick the M7 Pro for: AMOLED panel technology and the higher listed resolution on a smaller screen.
- Pick the M7 Plus for: the larger display and higher maximum refresh rate.
Refresh rate describes how often the display can update, not its contrast, color, or overall image quality. The two phones also have different panel types, so the maximum hertz figure does not settle which screen you will prefer.
Which has the better cameras?
On listed camera features, the M7 Pro has the more fully specified setup: a 50MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 2MP depth camera, and a 20MP front camera. The M7 Plus is listed with a 50MP main rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
OIS is a meaningful feature distinction for the Pro, but these specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better photos or video. Sensor performance, processing, and shooting conditions also matter; no controlled camera comparison is available here.
Battery capacity and charging: larger versus faster
Comparison sources list a 7000mAh battery and 33W charging for the M7 Plus. Xiaomi lists the M7 Pro at 5110mAh typical capacity and 45W charging. That makes the Plus the higher-capacity choice on paper, while the Pro has the higher stated charging wattage.
Capacity and charging wattage are not real-world battery tests: they do not predict a particular owner’s screen-on time or the time needed to recharge. Xiaomi also says the M7 Pro passed TÜV SÜD long-life battery certification and specifies at least 80% capacity after 1800 cycles under laboratory conditions. That is a manufacturer claim under lab conditions, not a guarantee for every charging environment.

Size, weight, and wired audio
The cited listings put the M7 Pro at 190g and 162.4 × 75.7 × 7.99mm, compared with 217g and 168.5 × 80.5 × 8.4mm for the M7 Plus. The Pro is therefore the smaller and lighter handset on these figures; the Plus’s larger screen comes with a larger, heavier body.
Xiaomi lists a 3.5mm headphone jack for the M7 Pro. A secondary comparison lists USB-C audio for the M7 Plus. If you need a traditional wired headphone port, verify the exact regional model before buying.
POCO M7 Pro vs M7 Plus price difference
A 91mobiles comparison page displayed the POCO M7 Pro at ₹14,999 on Flipkart and the M7 Plus at ₹16,999, marked out of stock. That page snapshot implies a ₹2,000 difference in India, but it is not a verified checkout quote, official list price, or current price guarantee.

Which should you buy?
Choose the POCO M7 Pro 5G if
- You want an AMOLED display rather than the Plus’s listed IPS LCD.
- You value OIS on the main camera or a higher-resolution listed selfie camera.
- You prefer higher-wattage charging, a lighter body, or a listed 3.5mm headphone jack.
Choose the POCO M7 Plus 5G if
- You want the larger 6.9-inch display and its listed up-to-144Hz refresh rate.
- You prefer the larger stated 7000mAh battery capacity.
Compare the same memory configuration at the price you can actually pay. The two phones’ different chipsets and specifications do not, by themselves, establish a definitive everyday-performance winner. NanoReview lists Geekbench 6 multi-core scores of 2248 for the Pro and 2228 for the Plus, and AnTuTu 11 scores of 671573 and 595016 respectively; these are comparison-page aggregates, and the Plus AnTuTu result has a very small sample count. They are not tests performed here or a guarantee of everyday speed.
