Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 17 5G offers a larger 8,000 mAh battery, reverse wired charging, an IP65 rating and longer stated software support. A 91mobiles snapshot showed the realme at ₹20,999 but out of stock, and the Redmi at ₹27,999 at Amazon; those listings are not guaranteed current prices.

realme P4 5G: higher refresh rate
realme lists a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with a refresh rate up to 144 Hz. The higher ceiling may appeal if you value smoother motion in supported content and apps.
Redmi Note 17 5G: larger screen
Xiaomi lists a 6.99-inch AMOLED/OLED display with a refresh rate up to 120 Hz. It gives you more screen area, while the realme has the higher listed refresh-rate maximum. These specifications alone do not establish which display looks better; brightness, calibration and viewing conditions matter too.

Which has the better battery and charging?
Xiaomi lists an 8,000 mAh typical-capacity battery, compared with realme’s 7,000 mAh typical capacity. Capacity is not a direct measure of real-world battery life: actual endurance depends on factors such as display settings, signal strength and workload.
Charging features favor different needs. realme lists 80 W wired charging, while Xiaomi lists 45 W wired charging and 22.5 W reverse wired charging. The wattage figures are manufacturer specifications, not a head-to-head charging-time test.

Xiaomi also says its internal laboratory testing found “up to 3+ days on a single charge” under light usage, and notes that actual results vary with usage. This is a manufacturer claim, not a directly comparable independent battery test.
How do the cameras compare?
realme lists a 50 MP main rear camera, an 8 MP wide-angle camera and a 16 MP front camera. Xiaomi lists a 50 MP main rear camera and an 8 MP front camera, and specifies 1080p video recording. The listed specifications do not establish photo or video quality; megapixel counts and video modes are not substitutes for controlled camera testing.

What is the price difference?
A 91mobiles snapshot showed the realme P4 5G at ₹20,999 and marked it out of stock, while the Redmi Note 17 5G was listed at ₹27,999 at Amazon. The displayed prices differ by ₹7,000, with the realme lower in that snapshot. Treat this as a listing snapshot, not a guaranteed current price: stock, seller, offers, delivery region and exact RAM/storage variant can change the amount you pay. Which should you choose?
- Choose the realme P4 5G if the 144 Hz display, 80 W wired charging, higher-resolution front camera or listed 8 MP wide-angle camera matter most to you.
- Choose the Redmi Note 17 5G if you prefer the larger listed battery and screen, reverse wired charging, an IP65 rating or Xiaomi’s stated four-year OS and six-year security update periods.
- Compare exact configurations and live offers if price is decisive. The observed realme listing was out of stock, and the two snapshot prices should not be treated as an assured current deal.
These differences describe trade-offs rather than a universal winner. The listed chipset speeds and third-party benchmark figures do not, by themselves, establish which phone performs better in your apps; the comparison listing does not provide enough test-method detail to generalize its results confidently across configurations.
