How to apply oil without weighing hair down
- Read the product directions. Formulas vary in intended placement and frequency, so do not assume every oil belongs on the scalp or is suitable for daily use.

What the pumpkin-seed-oil numbers do—and do not—show
The same review summarizes a 2014 trial in which 76 men took 400 mg of oral pumpkin seed oil daily for 24 weeks; it reports hair-count improvement in 40% of the supplement group versus 10% of the comparison group.
