On a Samsung Galaxy A52, press the Power/Side key and Volume Down at the same time, then release when the screen flashes. For a long page, tap Scroll capture in the toolbar that appears. You can also enable Samsung’s Palm swipe gesture if it is available on your phone.
Take a standard screenshot with the buttons
- Open the screen you want to capture.
- Press the Power/Side key and Volume Down key simultaneously.
- Release when the display flashes. The screenshot is saved automatically.
A brief simultaneous press is usually enough. The location and shape of the buttons can vary across Galaxy models.
Use Palm swipe to capture
If you would rather swipe than press buttons, enable the gesture first. Samsung documents this Settings route, though menu names and feature availability can vary by software, model, carrier, and region.
- Open Settings → Advanced features → Motions and gestures.
- Tap Palm swipe to capture and turn it on, if the option is listed.
- Place the edge of your hand on one side of the screen and swipe horizontally across the display.
If the menu differs on your A52, search Settings for “Palm swipe to capture.” If the option is missing or the gesture does not work, use the button combination.

Capture a long page with Scroll capture
Scroll capture can extend a screenshot beyond the portion currently visible on screen, provided the app or website supports scrolling capture.
- Take a screenshot using the button combination or Palm swipe.
- When the screenshot toolbar appears, tap Scroll capture (the downward-arrows icon).
- Tap the control again to extend the capture farther down the page.
The Scroll capture control appears only when there is more content to scroll. Some apps and websites may not offer it.

Find your screenshots
Open Gallery and look for the Screenshots album. Samsung says screenshots are saved there automatically.

- The screenshot is blocked: Some apps or screens restrict screenshots for privacy or security. Samsung gives banking apps as an example of a protected context; a button or gesture will not override an app’s restriction.
- Palm swipe is unavailable: The option may not be present on every configuration. Use the Power/Side and Volume Down keys instead.
- Scroll capture does not appear: There may be no additional scrollable content, or that app or website may not support the feature.
Samsung’s instructions cover Galaxy devices generally; the exact settings and availability can differ by region, carrier, model, and software version. The documented menu path may not match every Galaxy A52 configuration.
