To take a screenshot on a Samsung Galaxy A32, open the screen you want, press and release the Side key and Volume Down key at the same time, then find the image in Gallery. This button method is documented for the Galaxy A32 5G; menu wording and some extra features can differ by software version and A32 model.
Take a screenshot with the buttons
- Navigate to the screen you want to capture.
- Press and release the Side key and Volume Down key simultaneously. Do not hold them down for a prolonged time.
- Open Gallery to view the screenshot. The Galaxy A32 5G manual says screenshots appear in a Screenshots album.

Capture more of a scrolling page
For a long webpage or other scrollable content, take a normal screenshot first. If the screenshot toolbar appears, tap its Scroll capture control to extend the image farther down the page. The phone scrolls and adds more content to the screenshot; repeat the action if needed and available on your software version.
If the toolbar does not appear, look in Settings > Advanced features > Screenshots or Screenshots and screen recorder for Show toolbar after capturing. The exact label and availability can vary. These controls and labels are described in a third-party-hosted Galaxy A32 manual copy.

Use the screenshot toolbar to edit or share
When the toolbar is shown after capture, its options may let you write or draw on the screenshot, crop it, or share it. A cropped screenshot can be viewed in Gallery. Toolbar options depend on the software installed on the phone.
Check whether Palm swipe is available
A manual copy describes taking a screenshot by swiping the edge of your hand across the screen from left to right, or right to left. It lists the setting under Settings > Advanced features > Motions and gestures > Palm swipe to capture.

Do not assume this gesture is available on every A32. A Samsung Members discussion dated July 27, 2023 includes conflicting user reports, including an A32 owner who could not find the option. The discussion does not establish which A32 variants, regions, or software versions support it. If the setting is absent, use Side key + Volume Down. The available sources also do not establish a three-finger screenshot gesture for the A32.
Find screenshot settings and change them if needed
On software versions that include them, screenshot controls may be under Settings > Advanced features > Screenshots and screen recorder. The A32 5G manual documents options for showing the toolbar after capture, deleting a screenshot after sharing from the toolbar, hiding the status and navigation bars, and choosing JPG or PNG. Menu names and available choices can vary by software version. Screenshots are viewed in Gallery.

If the screenshot will not capture
Some apps and features do not allow screenshots, so a blocked capture does not necessarily mean the phone is faulty. Try the button method on another screen. If it works there, the original app or screen may restrict capture; there is no supported workaround established here for protected content.
