Find the model in Settings

Open Settings.

Tap About phone. On some older devices or software versions, the menu may be called About device.

Read the Model name or Model number field. On some older software, check Status if the model details are not shown on the About screen.
Samsung notes that screens and settings can differ by phone model, software version, and carrier. If the labels or path do not match, use Settings search for “About phone” or “About device,” then inspect the available device information. Model number, serial number, and IMEI are different

Model name or number: identifies the phone’s product family or variant. Model numbers can differ by release year, color, or carrier, so use the model number when checking compatibility or identifying the exact variant.

Serial number: identifies an individual device and is assigned by its manufacturer.

IMEI or MEID: a separate identifier for a phone or other communication device. It is not the model number.
Dialing *#06# may display the IMEI and serial information, depending on device and carrier support, but it is not the direct way to find the model. If a support, repair, or resale form asks specifically for the model, use the Model name or Model number field in About phone. Samsung explains the distinctions in its Ireland support guide.

If you cannot access the phone
Try these sources in order of what you have available. They do not all provide the same identifier.

Samsung’s US support guidance and Saudi Arabia guidance also describe packaging, device markings, and other identification options; the exact information available depends on the phone and record.

Which identifier should you give support or use for compatibility?
For a case, accessory, software, or parts compatibility check, provide the model number, since a product-family name may not distinguish carrier or regional variants. For account or network records, follow the form’s request: it may ask for the IMEI or serial number instead. Avoid substituting one identifier for another just because it is easier to find.
A model number or IMEI by itself should not be treated as proof that a handset is authentic. The identification instructions above establish how to locate identifiers, not an authentication procedure.
