TCL’s 11-inch TAB A1 NXTPAPER pairs a 2.1K display with anti-glare and anti-reflection treatments, hardware-level blue-light control, and three viewing modes. TCL says these features are designed to support comfortable viewing; they are display features, not evidence that the tablet prevents eye strain or protects eye health. TCL North America announced a U.S. price of $249.99 on August 31, 2026, while European availability is limited to selected markets.
What is the TCL TAB A1 NXTPAPER?
The TAB A1 NXTPAPER is TCL’s reading-oriented 11-inch tablet in its TAB A1 lineup. TCL introduced it alongside the standard-display TAB A1, which is positioned for everyday entertainment. The series also includes 12.2-inch TAB A1 Plus models, including an NXTPAPER version. These are distinct models, not alternate names for the same tablet. (TCL Europe; TCL North America)
Does the 11-inch tablet have an eye-friendly screen?
TCL describes the NXTPAPER display as designed for comfortable viewing during longer reading, study, and browsing sessions. Its stated features include anti-glare and anti-reflection treatments, hardware-level blue-light control, and three selectable display modes. The company’s announcements do not provide clinical evidence that these features prevent eye strain, reduce eye damage, or treat a medical condition.
Three viewing modes
- Regular: Full-color viewing for everyday use.
- Color Paper: Color remains visible, with a softer, paper-like appearance.
- Ink Paper: A monochrome setting intended for text-focused reading.
