Kingdom Hearts Collection [I–III] is scheduled to launch digitally for Nintendo Switch 2 on October 8, 2026. As of October 4, 2026, Nintendo’s listing describes it as an upcoming release, not a collection you can already play natively. If you want to play before then, Nintendo also lists the existing Switch cloud bundle, but it streams the games and requires a stable, high-speed internet connection.
What is in Kingdom Hearts Collection [I–III]?
Nintendo’s Switch 2 collection listing bundles three products: KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-, KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind (DLC).
HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX
This package contains six series entries, though two are HD cutscene compilations rather than full playable remakes of their original games:
- KINGDOM HEARTS FINAL MIX
- Re:Chain of Memories
- KINGDOM HEARTS II FINAL MIX
- 358/2 Days, presented as an HD cutscene compilation
- Birth by Sleep FINAL MIX
- Re:coded, presented as an HD cutscene compilation
Nintendo’s US listing identifies this as the Switch 2 version.

HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts III
Nintendo Japan’s announcement lists Dream Drop Distance HD, χ Back Cover (video content), and 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage- in HD 2.8. The third package is Kingdom Hearts III with the Re Mind DLC. Nintendo Japan’s announcement describes these components.
How to play it on Switch 2
Native Switch 2 collection: scheduled for October 8
The native collection is a digital release for Nintendo Switch 2, scheduled for October 8, 2026, according to Nintendo Canada’s collection listing. Check your regional Nintendo eShop on or after that date for current availability, price, download size, and purchase terms.

Do not confuse it with a downloadable original-Switch edition. Nintendo’s US listing says the Switch 2 version of 1.5+2.5 ReMIX is designed exclusively for Switch 2 and is not compatible with the original Switch. Nintendo Japan separately noted that 1.5+2.5 ReMIX was planned for original Switch in that market; that is a distinct product, not the full Switch 2 collection.
Existing Switch cloud bundle: stream over the internet
KINGDOM HEARTS INTEGRUM MASTERPIECE for Cloud is an existing Nintendo Switch digital bundle that includes the same three named products. It is not the native Switch 2 collection: the games stream from a server. Nintendo says a stable, high-speed internet connection is required and recommends trying the free demo before purchase. Cloud access is not a full game download, although a small launch download is required. Nintendo says a Nintendo Account is needed to purchase cloud access, but a Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required just to play cloud versions. The FAQ says cloud versions are currently available only in the United States and Canada, so check local eShop availability. Nintendo also says trial counts cannot be reset; test the connection you intend to use before buying.
Which option should you choose?

The collection and cloud bundle list the same three named packages, but their delivery differs: the Switch 2 collection is a native digital release, while the cloud edition streams from a server. A Switch 2 console is required for the native collection.

Can you transfer a cloud save to the Switch 2 collection?
Nintendo Japan’s announcement says qualifying cloud owners may transfer save data. That does not by itself confirm availability or eligibility in every region, so check the local collection listing and account details before relying on a transfer.
