The answer depends on which “Switch” release you mean. The original Nintendo Switch versions were cloud games; the full KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III] is announced for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 8, 2026. As of October 4, 2026, that collection had not yet launched. It is not a native full-collection release for the original Switch.
Which Kingdom Hearts Switch version are you comparing?
Square Enix’s announced Collection [I~III] brings the same listed collection components to Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The older original-Switch releases are a different proposition: the three bundles, including the combined Integrum Masterpiece, were cloud versions. Square Enix also lists a separate digital 1.5+2.5 ReMIX for Nintendo Switch, but that is not the full [I~III] collection.

Are the PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch 2 versions technically different?
Square Enix support says the game content is the same across console versions. That addresses content, not technical performance: the official information cited here does not establish resolution, frame rate, loading times, or comparative performance for the October 2026 releases. There is therefore no supported basis here to call one console version technically superior.
Are there platform-specific Keyblades?
Square Enix lists a purchase-linked KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind Keyblade for each platform: Long Night for Nintendo Switch, Midnight Blue for PlayStation, Phantom Green for Xbox, and Dead of Night for Steam. The page says the relevant Keyblade is available with purchase of KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind or the collection. The Switch listing should not be read as proof that the full [I~III] collection is coming to original Switch; the announced full collection’s Nintendo platform is Switch 2.

What should original Switch cloud owners know?
Square Enix says eligible owners can transfer save data from the Switch cloud version to the corresponding Switch 2 digital version and receive a discount on the corresponding digital release. The physical Collection [I~III] is not eligible for that owner discount. Owners of the cloud Integrum Masterpiece qualify for discounts on all digital versions named in the support notice. The notice does not state a discount percentage, so check the relevant store for the offer and eligibility.
Square Enix’s collection page separately identifies 50% discounts for eligible owners of certain individually purchased digital editions on Switch cloud, PS4, or Xbox One. Eligibility depends on the specific edition; confirm it on the applicable store rather than assuming every previous purchase qualifies.

- Want the full collection on a Nintendo system? The announced complete option is the Switch 2 version, scheduled for October 8, 2026; it is not an original-Switch collection.
- Already own an original-Switch cloud version? Check the corresponding Switch 2 digital release and store terms for save transfer and any owner discount. The existing cloud service is scheduled to end June 9, 2027, at 14:59 UTC.
