The wheels have no separate V-Bucks cost, but the qualifying game purchase is required—so they are not free without conditions.
What you need to do
- Buy or confirm a qualifying purchase. Any edition of 007 First Light purchased through the Epic Games Store qualifies under Epic’s offer terms. Epic says the purchase date does not affect eligibility, and a game gifted through the Epic Games Store also qualifies. See Epic Games Store Support’s redemption instructions.
- Sign in to Rocket League with the purchasing Epic account. Claim the wheels in Rocket League first; opening Fortnite before claiming them there will not complete the required sequence.
- Open Fortnite using that same Epic account. After the Rocket League claim, the item can sync to Fortnite.
Epic says the wheels are usable in Rocket League and Fortnite starting May 7, 2026, at 8 PM ET; its support instructions describe the grant as occurring on or after that time. If you are reading this before that date and time, the reward may not yet be available to claim.
Which purchases qualify?
The documented qualifying route is an 007 First Light purchase through the Epic Games Store. Do not assume that a copy from another retailer or platform qualifies. IO Interactive announced an Amazon-exclusive Specialist Edition, but that does not establish eligibility for Epic’s wheels promotion; Epic’s stated condition is an Epic Games Store purchase. The offer terms are described in the 007 First Light FAQ.
The FAQ says the promotion remains available for as long as 007 First Light remains for sale on the Epic Games Store. Check the live Epic store listing to confirm whether the game is currently available; no current price or fixed end date is established here.

Make sure your accounts are connected
Use the Epic account associated with the qualifying purchase in both games. If you play on a console, connect that console account to the same Epic account so the item can be accessed across platforms. Epic’s FAQ explains the same-account requirement.
If the wheels do not appear
- Check your Epic Games Store purchase history and confirm the transaction is for 007 First Light.
- Verify that Rocket League and Fortnite are using the Epic account that made or received the qualifying purchase.
- Confirm that you claimed the reward in Rocket League before launching Fortnite.
- If the purchase is correct but content is still missing, review the game’s transaction history and check for missing add-ons. The 007 First Light Player Support article on wrong editions and missing content gives these checks.
What happens if you refund the game?
Epic’s FAQ says refunding the qualifying Epic Games Store purchase removes the wheels from both Rocket League and Fortnite. The cosmetic therefore remains tied to the qualifying purchase rather than becoming a permanent reward after redemption.
