To take a screenshot on a Samsung Galaxy A03s, press the Side button and Volume down button together, then release them promptly. Tap the “Screenshot saved” notification to open it, or find it in Gallery’s Screenshots album.
Take a screenshot with the buttons
- Open the screen you want to capture.
- Press the Side button and Volume down button at the same time.
- Release both buttons promptly. The A03s manual instructs users to press and release them rather than hold them.
- Tap the “Screenshot saved” notification to view the image, or open Gallery and select the Screenshots album.
The model-specific instructions appear in the Samsung Galaxy A03s user manual hosted by AT&T; AT&T also documents the button combination and saved-image locations in its A03s support instructions.
Other ways to capture the screen
Check for Palm swipe to capture
Some Galaxy phones offer a palm-swipe gesture, but Samsung notes that availability varies by model and software. On your A03s, check Settings > Advanced features > Motions and gestures for “Palm swipe to capture.” If the option is present, enable it and follow the on-screen guidance. Use a voice assistant
Samsung describes screenshot voice commands through Bixby or Google Assistant as general Galaxy options. They require the relevant assistant to be available and configured on your phone; they are not guaranteed to be available on every A03s setup. Samsung lists these options in its Galaxy screenshot instructions.

Adjust screenshot options
The A03s manual lists screenshot controls under Settings > Advanced features > Screenshots. Depending on your installed software, menu names or available controls may differ; look for the closest matching settings on your phone. The manual describes options for showing the Screenshot toolbar after a capture, hiding the status and navigation bars, deleting shared screenshots, and choosing JPG or PNG format. Capture a longer page
After taking a regular screenshot, look in the Screenshot toolbar for a scroll-capture control to extend the image down a page. Samsung documents this option in its Australian Galaxy screenshot guidance. The feature is general Galaxy guidance, not a guarantee that the control appears on every A03s software version; if it is absent from your toolbar, that option is not available in your current setup.

If screenshots are not working
- Nothing happens: Press Side and Volume down simultaneously and release promptly. Avoid holding the buttons.
- The gesture option is missing: Palm swipe availability depends on model and software. Return to the button method if the setting is not listed.
- A particular app blocks capture: Some apps and screens restrict screenshots for privacy or security and may show a security message. Respect that restriction rather than trying to bypass it. Samsung explains these limits in its Galaxy screenshot guidance and UK support article.
- A physical button is unresponsive elsewhere too: Screenshot settings will not resolve a general button fault. Use Samsung’s A03s support options for unresponsive buttons for device-specific help.
