The festival gathers a larger, time-bounded programme. Its 2026 schedule covered AI and machine learning, coding and software development, cybersecurity, data, fintech, careers and education, and social networking. Because event dates and availability change, confirm the details on the live programme before making plans.
How to choose an event that fits
Use the festival programme’s filters to narrow listings by subject and format, including physical, virtual and private events. Then open each listing and check the details that determine whether it suits you:

Search for listings tagged Social & Networking, and read the audience description rather than choosing by title alone. A useful example from the 2026 programme was Bytes and Brews, a physical breakfast organised by Leeds Beckett University on 22 September 2026 at its city campus. It was aimed at technology and digital professionals, including people in cybersecurity, software development, data and analytics, IT, and related roles. That event has passed; it illustrates the kind of listing to look for rather than a current recommendation.
Its listing asked: “Work in tech or digital? New to Leeds? Looking to grow your network?” Use questions like these to decide whether an event’s stated audience and purpose match what you hope to get from it.

Shortlist events, then book with the organiser
- Create an account on the Leeds Digital Festival site if you want to save events to a shortlist.
- Compare shortlisted listings by topic, format, date, venue and intended audience.
- Open the chosen event’s page and follow its booking instructions.
The festival site supports shortlisting, but booking is handled through each event’s own booking system. Do not assume that one ticket provider, set of terms or availability applies across the programme.
What the festival’s scale can—and cannot—tell you
Leeds Digital’s 2026 sponsorship materials report 220+ events and an estimated 40,000 attendees. These are organiser-reported figures in sponsorship materials, not figures identified there as independently audited. They indicate the scale Leeds Digital promotes, but do not guarantee the size, format or networking value of any individual event.
In the same materials, Anja Madhvani, Event & Community Lead at Genio, described the festival as spanning “things that are really niche and technical” through to workplace culture and diversity in tech, and said it could help people discover talent and make connections with tech firms in the North.

Leeds Digital Festival is an open platform: organisers host their own events and source their own speakers, while Leeds Digital provides a place in the programme. The official page says anyone can submit a relevant tech event in Leeds.
