First determine whether the casino app itself is failing or only one game is stuck. Then check your connection, fully close and reopen the app, install available app and phone updates, and restart the device. If only one game fails, test another game and report the affected title to the casino operator.
Is the whole app failing, or just one game?
Notice where the problem occurs: does the app crash or freeze before you can use it, refuse to open, or open normally but leave a particular game on “loading”? This distinction helps separate a device or connection problem from an issue with one game or an operator session.

- The app will not open or keeps crashing: Continue with the connection and app-wide checks below.
- The app opens, but one game freezes or will not load: Try a different game. If other games work, close the affected game, wait a few minutes, then try it again. Circus Casino support recommends this approach when other games are working: Circus Casino support and Konami support.
If a game froze during a round, note the game and incident details before taking further action. Avoid repeatedly restarting the round or assuming the wager will be refunded; the operator determines how a particular game session is handled.
Try these checks in order
- Check your internet connection. Confirm the phone is online, then switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If you use a VPN or proxy, temporarily turn it off and try again. Public networks, VPNs, or proxies can interfere with loading, according to DraftKings support, Konami support, and casino app support guidance.
- Fully close and reopen the app. Dismiss it from the phone’s recent-apps view so it is no longer running, then launch it again. Sign in again if prompted. DraftKings also recommends logging out before closing and reopening the app: DraftKings app troubleshooting.
- Install available updates. Check the official app store for an update to the casino app, and check the phone’s settings for an operating-system update. Apple and Google include app and device updates among their general app troubleshooting steps: Apple Support and Google Android Help.
- Restart the phone. After the restart, open the casino app and see whether the same issue occurs. Restarting is included in Apple’s, Google’s, and casino support guidance: Apple, Google, and Circus Casino.
Additional steps for Android
Android settings and labels vary by phone manufacturer and software version. If the app still fails, try a force stop, then clear the app’s cache before considering more disruptive steps. Google describes cache clearing as a temporary way to free storage and notes: “This is a short-term solution. Over time, cached data will build up again.” It is not a guaranteed casino-app fix. Clearing app data is different from clearing the cache: it can remove information saved by the app. Before doing it, make sure you know your sign-in details and understand how the casino account or any game data can be recovered. Google’s troubleshooting guidance covers force stopping, clearing cache or data, and uninstalling in Google Android Help.
Reinstall only after checking account recovery
If the earlier steps do not work, reinstalling may be worth trying, but deletion can remove app-stored information. Apple Support warns, “When you do this, you might lose data that was stored in the app,” referring to deleting an app before redownloading it. Google likewise warns that uninstalling erases app-saved data.
- Confirm that you can sign back into your casino account and check any app-specific recovery or transfer instructions.
- Remove and reinstall the app using the official Apple App Store or Google Play Store—not an unofficial download.
- Open the reinstalled app, sign in, and check whether the problem remains.

Some casino apps have operator-specific access checks, including location services or restrictions related to VPNs and hotspots. These rules depend on the casino and where you are; consult that operator’s official help page rather than assuming one set of location or eligibility steps applies to every app. DraftKings, for example, includes location services and VPN or hotspot checks in its app troubleshooting guidance.

If the app reports “Game Already in Progress” or a round was interrupted, follow the operator’s instructions for returning to the game or reviewing the session. DraftKings says that its “Game Already in Progress” issue can require reopening the game from the Recent section. Other operators may handle resumption and transactions differently, so contact your casino’s support rather than assuming the game will resume or a wager will be refunded.
What to send casino support
If the issue persists, contact the casino through its official app or website. Include details that help support distinguish an app, device, network, or game-specific problem:
- Phone model and operating-system version
- Casino app version, if available
- The game name, if only one game is affected
- What you were doing when the app froze or crashed, and the approximate time
- The exact error message and a screenshot, if available
- A relevant transaction or game reference, if one is shown
- Which troubleshooting steps you have already tried
Casino support guidance recommends providing device and app details, error text, and screenshots: Circus Casino support and Konami support. If the problem began during a game round, ask the operator to review that session.
