On PS5, open PlayStation Plus > Benefits > Game Catalog, then search for the exact game and check its listing and any removal date. Also confirm that your membership tier includes the catalogue: in the US, Extra and Premium include the Game Catalog, while Essential does not. Monthly Games are separate and work differently.
Check the Game Catalog on your PS5
- From the PS5 Games home screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus. Sony’s PlayStation Support instructions use this navigation.
- Open Benefits, then select Game Catalog.
- Search for or browse to the exact game. Open its listing and review the available access options and any stated removal date.
- Confirm that your membership tier includes the catalogue. A game appearing in the catalogue does not mean every PS Plus tier can access it.
You can also browse Sony’s PlayStation Plus games page. Check the listing for your country and your account’s plan; catalogue availability can change.
Know which PS Plus benefit the game uses
Game Catalog
The Game Catalog is a collection available to eligible members. Catalog games may be removed from the service, so access lasts only while the title remains available and your membership includes the catalogue. Check the game’s listing for a removal date. Sony’s support page explains the distinction between catalogue access and Monthly Games.
Monthly Games
Monthly Games are offered separately from the Game Catalog. Sony describes them as games members can download and play at no extra cost during an active PlayStation Plus membership. On PS5, find them under PlayStation Plus > Benefits > Monthly Games. Add a title to your library while it is being offered; claimed Monthly Games can be played while your membership remains active.

Which membership tier includes the Game Catalog?
The following comparison reflects Sony’s US plan pages. Benefits and plan names may differ by country, so check the local PlayStation plan comparison and the specific game listing before subscribing or upgrading.
| US plan | Relevant game benefit | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Monthly Games; no Game Catalog in Sony’s US comparison | Whether the title is a Monthly Game currently offered or one you previously claimed to your library |
| Extra | Monthly Games and Game Catalog | Whether the title currently appears in the Game Catalog |
| Premium | Monthly Games, Game Catalog, Classics Catalog, and game trials | Which catalogue or trial includes the title and the access terms shown |
Sony’s US PlayStation Plus plan comparison lists the benefits by tier. Because catalogues and availability can change, use the current local listing rather than an old game list or an online mention to confirm access.
