There is no universal deadline, eligibility window, or evidence package for digital awards. Before preparing an entry, identify the exact award, geographic edition, category, and cycle, then follow that organizer’s current rules. Use this checklist to confirm eligibility, build a case supported by verifiable evidence, and catch submission problems before the deadline.
1. Identify the award, edition, and cycle
Start with the organizer’s official entry or rules page. Record the details that apply to your specific submission; deadlines and requirements cannot safely be carried over from another award or year.

- Category and entry deadline, including the timezone
- Any separate payment deadline and the final time you may edit the entry
- Accepted entry formats and where the official rules explain them
For dated examples—not general deadlines—Horizon Interactive Awards lists December 11, 2026, for its 25th annual competition (Horizon Interactive Awards); MENA Digital Awards lists October 11, 2026, at 18:00 UAE time as its form deadline, with a payment deadline also specified (MENA Digital Awards eligibility); Adobe Experience Maker Awards 2027 lists November 20, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (Adobe Experience Maker Awards eligibility). Bangladesh DMA’s 2026 rules listed May 10, 2026 (Digital Marketing Award Bangladesh). Each date belongs to its named competition and cycle; check the current rules before relying on it.
2. Check eligibility and permissions
Compare the project, entrant, and category against the award’s actual eligibility language before investing time in the entry.
#1 Best Overall
- Project dates: Check the eligible launch, campaign, or update period for the category.
- Entrant and geography: Confirm who may enter and whether location or market requirements apply.
- Prior entries and wins: Check rules about re-entry, previous submissions, and substantially changed work.
- Category fit: Verify that the work meets the category definition, not just the broad subject of the award.
- Rights and approvals: Confirm who owns or controls the work, obtain required client or brand approval, and prepare accurate credits and releases.
The tests differ. Horizon accepts work launched, published, or substantially updated in the prior two years, or work never entered before, subject to its stated exceptions (Horizon Interactive Awards). Adobe’s 2027 rules require new applications, capabilities, implementations, or use cases and set product-specific eligibility requirements (Adobe Experience Maker Awards eligibility). Bangladesh DMA’s 2026 rules define a campaign period, restrict re-entry unless the version is significantly different, and require a client, marketing, or brand-head NOC (Digital Marketing Award Bangladesh). These are program-specific examples, not a shared eligibility standard.
3. Choose a category and shape the case around it
Pick the category that best represents the primary deliverable. Horizon advises entrants to begin with the competition medium that best represents that deliverable (Horizon Interactive Awards). If entering in multiple categories, tailor the entry to each category’s criteria rather than reusing an unchanged generic description; MENA Digital Awards specifically advises adapting written entries for multiple categories (MENA Digital Awards eligibility).
Build the case in a clear sequence: the challenge and audience, the objective and strategy, the idea and execution, and the outcome. Match the emphasis to the award’s rubric. MENA’s published criteria cover strategy, creativity and innovation, execution, and results, and call for quantified proof from credible sources (MENA Digital Awards eligibility). Bangladesh DMA says results in the entry should match the supplied insight evidence (Digital Marketing Award Bangladesh).
4. Map every result to evidence and access
For each factual claim or performance result, make an evidence record before writing the final case. This makes it easier to verify the story and provide judges with usable access.

- Metric, measurement period, and source system or document

Prepare the format the organizer requests. Depending on the award and deliverable, that may mean a live URL, screenshots of work that has ended, a case board, supporting files, temporary login details for a gated project, or a video demonstration. Test links and credentials using an account with judge-like access, check device compatibility, and keep access available for the required period. Horizon’s entry guidance illustrates format and access requirements for interactive work (Horizon Interactive Awards); MENA and Bangladesh DMA publish their own case-material requirements (MENA Digital Awards eligibility; Digital Marketing Award Bangladesh).
5. Package the submission to the program’s limits
Use the organizer’s naming conventions and accepted file types. Complete every required field and include the requested credits, brand materials, presentation, case board, or audiovisual item. The following limits illustrate how much requirements can differ:
Rank #2
| Award and cycle | Published submission requirements |
|---|---|
| Digital Marketing Award Bangladesh, 2026 | Description maximum: 500 words; presentation maximum: 18 slides; campaign-specific case AV maximum: 2 minutes. The rules also request supporting images. Official rules |
| MENA Digital Awards | Case-summary board includes three representative images and a 200–300-word summary, with references to supporting evidence. Official eligibility page |
| Adobe Experience Maker Awards, 2027 | One entry per category and no more than three categories per company. Official eligibility rules |
These are rules for the named programs and cycles, not standard limits for digital awards generally. Confirm the current form’s word, slide, file-size, and video requirements before uploading.

How to compare awards before choosing where to enter
If you are deciding between programs, compare the rules that affect the work and the effort required to submit it.
- Geographic and entrant eligibility
- Eligible project dates and restrictions on previous entries
- Category fit and judging criteria
- Evidence formats, access requirements, and delivery effort
- Deadline, timezone, fees, payment timing, and whether edits are allowed
- Confidentiality, intellectual-property, publication, and exhibition terms
The Drum Awards’ Marketing EMEA FAQ warns against false or exaggerated results and explains that submitted material may be published or exhibited. Review the organizer’s terms and secure permission for material that cannot be shared publicly (The Drum Awards FAQ).
