Choose the Brooks Ghost 18 if you prefer Brooks’ balanced-support design; choose the Adrenaline GTS 25 if you want its explicitly structured-support design with GuideRails. Both are positioned for road running and walking, and Brooks lists balanced cushioning and a 10 mm drop for both. The clearest difference is support design—not a proven difference in softness, safety, or injury prevention.
Ghost 18 vs. Adrenaline GTS 25 at a glance

What is the main difference between Ghost and Adrenaline GTS?
Ghost 18: balanced support
Brooks describes the Ghost 18 as a balanced-support shoe for road running, daily runs, and walking. Its product page says a secure heel and dynamic forefoot provide “inherent stability.” That is Brooks’ product description, not a clinical assessment of how the shoe will affect an individual runner.

Adrenaline GTS 25: structured support
Brooks places the Adrenaline GTS 25 in its structured-support category. Its product page says the GuideRails™ Technology System “helps keep excess movement in check.” This explains the intended design distinction; it does not establish that the shoe corrects a gait issue or is medically appropriate for a particular person.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Ghost 18 if you want Brooks’ balanced-support option and value its lower listed price and lighter listed men’s weight.
- Consider the Adrenaline GTS 25 if you want Brooks’ explicitly structured-support design with GuideRails.
- Try both if you are unsure which support feel suits you. Compare the correct size and width, and decide by fit and comfort rather than by a label alone.
The Ghost’s listed men’s weight is 0.4 oz (11.3 g) lower, and its listed U.S. price is $5 lower at the time of access. Those are differences in Brooks’ product-page figures; they do not establish that the Ghost will feel noticeably lighter or that either shoe is a better value for every runner.

What the listed specs do—and don’t—tell you
Both men’s models have the same Brooks-listed 10 mm drop and balanced cushioning label, so those specifications do not distinguish them. Brooks’ pages support a comparison of intended support design, listed weight, and listed price, but they do not establish a universal winner for softness, comfort, durability, or performance.
These listings also do not show that either shoe prevents injuries, corrects overpronation, or is a medical solution for flat feet. Fit and comfort are personal, and the product descriptions alone cannot determine which shoe will work best for you.
