As of October 4, 2026, Samsung has not officially confirmed the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s processor or which markets, if any, will receive different chipsets. If you have a Samsung phone in hand, check Settings > About Phone; Samsung recommends CPU-Z for identifying the specific processor version. For an S27 Ultra, verify the complete model number against Samsung’s official specification for that exact market rather than relying on a country-based assumption or rumor.
Check the processor on a Samsung phone you already have
- Open Settings.
- Tap About Phone.
- Inspect the device information. Samsung’s guide says specific phone details are available there and recommends CPU-Z if you need the specific processor version. Menu labels and app availability may change with software updates. Samsung’s processor guide
If the processor is not plainly identified, note the complete model number displayed in About Phone. Once Samsung publishes S27 Ultra specifications, use that number to find the official specification for your model and sales market. A model name by itself may not establish the processor in a particular regional variant.
What is confirmed about the Galaxy S27 Ultra
The official sources available as of October 4, 2026, do not confirm an S27 Ultra processor or provide a country-by-country chipset allocation. Reports disagree: SamMobile wrote on October 2 that allocation had not been decided, while MoneyToday reported on September 1 that Samsung was considering Exynos in select countries, including South Korea. These are unconfirmed reports, not specifications. SamMobile’s October 2 report; MoneyToday’s September 1 report
Samsung’s S26-series launch release lists Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy and Exynos 2600, and says the application-processor type may vary by device and market. That establishes that regional variants can matter for that generation, but it does not determine the S27 Ultra’s configuration. Samsung’s S26-series announcement

Samsung Semiconductor also warns that Exynos availability may vary by country and wireless carrier. Its general availability note is not an S27 Ultra allocation list. Samsung Semiconductor’s mobile processor page
Verify an S27 Ultra before buying
- Ask the seller for the exact model number, not just “Galaxy S27 Ultra.”
- Compare that number with Samsung’s official specification for the country or carrier version being sold, once published.
- If possible, inspect the actual handset’s About Phone screen and check its processor version with CPU-Z.
- Treat a retailer listing, a rumor, or the phone’s country of sale as provisional evidence unless Samsung’s model-specific information confirms the chip.
Do not assume the S27 Ultra will use Exynos in South Korea and Snapdragon elsewhere: no official allocation has been established, and the available reporting is contradictory. Samsung’s 2026 first-quarter interim report describes the S26 platform as Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5/Exynos 2600; it is not an S27 Ultra preview. Samsung’s 2026 first-quarter interim report

Why the complete model number matters
Samsung publishes device-specific technical information for released products. For example, an Android 16 Fall Security Target hosted by the Common Criteria Portal lists earlier Galaxy devices and their chipset/model families, including the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy in the S25 Ultra. Such documents can help resolve a chip question after the specific device is defined; this document does not establish anything about the S27 Ultra. Common Criteria Portal security target
When Samsung publishes S27 Ultra variants, the useful comparison points will be the complete model number, sales market or carrier, and processor name shown in device information. Chip brand alone is not evidence that one version is faster, cooler, or more efficient; those claims require comparable testing of the exact variants.
