Published on August 15, 2024, it is best read as a historical voting notice—not as confirmation that voting is still open.
Which awards did the announcement refer to?
The headline grouped two distinct award programs. EE Times provided separate links to information and voting pages for each:
- World Electronics Achievement Awards (WEAA)
- Global Electronic Component Distributor Awards
The announcement does not describe the awards’ categories or selection criteria, so it does not establish how the programs differ or whether their ballots followed the same rules. Read the EE Times announcement.
Is the 2024 vote still open?
The EE Times announcement was published August 15, 2024. Its accessible article body does not state a voting deadline, and the announcement alone does not confirm whether either ballot remains open. Treat the invitation to vote as historical unless the official voting page for the relevant program confirms a current voting period.

What does the announcement establish about nominees and results?
The accessible article body links to award information and voting pages but does not provide nominee lists, voting rules, eligibility requirements, deadlines, or results. Those details cannot be established from the announcement itself; consult the relevant award pages for authoritative records.
What should readers take from the notice?
It identifies two separate 2024 award programs and points readers toward their respective information and voting pages. It does not support claims about who was nominated, how votes were counted, who won, or whether voting is currently available.
