To stop surprise in-app charges, use purchase controls rather than relying on a monthly budget: iPhone and iPad can block in-app purchases with Screen Time, while Android can require Google Play purchase verification. For a child’s account, Apple Ask to Buy or Google Play purchase approvals add a parent-approval step. These controls govern purchases within their respective services; they do not establish a universal spending cap for every payment route.
What these controls can—and can’t—do
A spending limit and a purchase gate are different things. A budget helps you monitor spending; verification asks for authentication, and parental approval asks a parent to authorize an eligible transaction. Google Play documents a monthly budget feature, but its help page does not say that the budget blocks purchases at a threshold. Apple’s documented Screen Time controls block purchases or require a password, not set a monetary ceiling. Google’s billing overview and Apple’s Screen Time instructions describe those respective options.
There is also a billing boundary: Google Play verification and family approvals apply to purchases billed through Google Play. In some markets and for participating developers, an app may offer alternative billing; Play controls do not apply to those transactions. Subscriptions made through alternative billing do not appear in Google Play’s subscription center, according to Google’s alternative-billing overview.
Block in-app purchases on iPhone or iPad
Apple’s current Screen Time instructions, published September 17, 2026, describe a way to prevent in-app purchases. If Screen Time is not enabled, set it up first. Then follow this path:
#1 Best Overall
- Limit screen time and apps
- Block schedules and websites
- Monitor social media and YouTube
- Set Family time
- App install alerts
- Open Settings and tap Screen Time.
- Tap Apps & Websites, then App Store.
- Tap In-app Purchases and choose Blocked.
Apple also documents requiring a password for future App Store purchases. That adds an authentication step rather than setting a dollar limit. Use a Screen Time passcode you control; where practical, keep it separate from a child’s device-unlock code. If a menu label differs after an update, search Settings for “Screen Time.” See Apple Support’s iPhone and iPad instructions.
Require verification for Google Play purchases on Android
Google Play purchase verification interrupts a purchase with a verification step. The exact choices depend on the region, device, and account. In regions where frequency options are shown, Google lists choices such as always, every 30 minutes on mobile, or never; other interfaces may offer options tied to payment methods. If the setting offers Always and you want a prompt for each Play-billed purchase, select it.
Rank #2
- Open the Play Store.
- Tap your profile picture.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Purchase verification.
- Choose the verification requirement or frequency available for your account.
Verification can use a Google Account password, biometrics, or—in eligible cases—the device screen lock. Google says biometrics and screen-lock verification may apply to every Google Account on the device, while a Google Account password is associated with that account on the device. On a shared phone or tablet, consider who has a fingerprint, face, or screen-lock credential registered before choosing a method. Google explains the options in Purchase verification for Google Play.
Require a parent’s approval for a child’s purchases
Apple Family Sharing: Ask to Buy
A parent or Family Sharing organizer can require approval for eligible app downloads and purchases by a child. On the parent’s device, open Settings > Family > child’s name > Apps & Websites > Restrictions > Ask to Buy, then enable Require Purchase Approval. The child can submit a request, which the parent can review and approve or decline.

- Release your finger: This phone screen auto clicker supports 2 methods of clicks for various applications. It is very easy to use, just stick the click head on the screen or use the screen clip to simulate automatic finger clicks. Suitable for games, live broadcast likes, and task rewards will save you a lot of time.
- Anti-Cheat Prevention: Many online games have anti-cheat systems that look for automated clickers and other programs. Even if you're using the latest auto-click app, the game may update to detect it. A physical auto-clicker circumvents this problem.
- Adjustable Speed: The automatic tapper for the phone screen has 3 setting buttons with 31-speed gears, the fastest is 33 times a second, which is 5 times faster than the human hand and the slowest is 1 click in 60 seconds. The last used gear parameter will be automatically memorized and saved after power off, one-press start, and stop at any time. Supports imitation finger (irregular) clicks.
- Multi-device compatible: Just connect the USB interface to the power source and you can use the auto clicker immediately. It is compatible with Android and IOS systems, using space mapping click technology instead of the traditional mechanical click method, zero noise, more sensitive and stable click, and longer service life.
- High quality products: Annrybo's automatic screen clicking devices are built to last. Each product is rigorously tested before shipment to ensure that no technical problems occur and that it can adapt to the screen of mobile phones, tablet computers, and laptops with touch screens and support up to 4 screen devices at the same time.
Apple notes that some controls depend on the child’s age and region; some may be enabled by default or unavailable to turn off. Details are in Apple’s parental-controls instructions.
Google Play family approvals and Family Link
Google offers purchase approvals through a Play family group or through Family Link supervision. The available categories depend on which route and account you use.
- Play Store family settings: open Play Store > Settings > Family > Manage family members, select a family member, then open Purchase approvals.
- Family Link: select the child, then open Controls > Google Play > Purchases & download approvals > Require approval for.
Choose the approval scope offered, such as all content or certain types of paid content or in-app purchases. Google says these approval settings cover purchases through Google Play billing only. If requests are not reaching the parent, check that notifications are enabled for Family Link or Play Store. See Google Play’s purchase-approval guide.
