Both list inner displays close to eight inches, compared with the Fold8’s 7.6-inch main screen. That diagonal alone does not decide which phone feels better: outer-screen shape, folded comfort, software, local price and service matter too.
What the Galaxy Z Fold8 offers as a baseline
Samsung lists a 7.6-inch main screen with a 4:3 ratio and a 5.5-inch cover screen with a 10:16 ratio on its U.S. product page. The wider inner format is aimed at using the phone opened, while the narrower cover display is the screen you interact with when it is folded. That makes the Fold8 the reference point, not a proven winner or loser. The available official specifications do not establish comparative performance in real use, and the screen measurements do not describe how much usable space each interface provides.

Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold: the largest listed inner diagonal here
Google lists an 8-inch inner display and a 6.4-inch outer display. Of the three phones in this comparison, that is the largest stated inner diagonal and a larger outer diagonal than Samsung’s listed cover screen. It is a useful starting point if you value display area both opened and closed, but size alone does not establish comfort, image quality, multitasking quality or battery life. Google’s U.S. specifications identify the processor as Tensor G5; they do not provide a head-to-head performance result against the other phones.
HONOR Magic V5: a near-eight-inch screen with published folded measurements
HONOR UK lists a 7.95-inch inner display and a 6.43-inch external display. The same UK page lists Snapdragon 8 Elite, 16GB RAM and 512GB storage for its specified configuration; check the version sold in your market before comparing memory or storage.

HONOR’s global product page says the Ivory White version is 8.8mm thick when folded and weighs about 217g. Other colors are listed at 9mm and about 222g. HONOR qualifies the thickness measurement: it excludes screen films and the raised camera section, and weight can vary by configuration and measurement method. The page also lists 5820mAh typical battery capacity (5690mAh rated) and IP58/IP59 ratings. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent comparative tests. How to choose beyond the inner-screen number
Consider the closed-phone experience
The Pixel and HONOR list outer displays of 6.4 and 6.43 inches, respectively, while Samsung lists a 5.5-inch cover screen. Those diagonals do not tell the whole story: aspect ratio, width, software layout and how easily you can reach the screen all affect everyday use. If you often leave the phone folded, try the actual device in person if possible rather than choosing by the inner display alone.

Think about what you will do when it is open
A large panel is most valuable when your apps make practical use of it—for example, when reading, viewing documents or keeping multiple tasks visible. Screen ratios and software scaling affect that experience, and the cited specifications do not establish which phone handles your particular apps or multitasking habits best. Check the apps you rely on and the maker’s current software information for your region.
Treat size, battery and protection claims as separate checks
HONOR publishes folded thickness, weight, battery capacity and IP ratings, but those figures do not establish how the V5 compares in pocket comfort, runtime or durability under the same conditions as Samsung and Google models. A capacity figure is not a battery-endurance result, and ratings should not be treated as proof that damage cannot occur. The official pages cited here do not provide equivalent independent tests across the three phones.
