If you want the closest match to Splinter Cell’s tactical infiltration, start with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. If you would rather plan disguises and replay intricate missions, choose Hitman: World of Assassination. For Sam Fisher himself, try Splinter Cell: Blacklist. The right pick depends on what you mean by “like Splinter Cell”: covert movement, player-led tactics, espionage, or the freedom to decide how a mission unfolds.

Metal Gear Solid V favors open-ended infiltration, while Hitman emphasizes distinct, replayable levels and experimenting with plans. Choose the structure you want rather than assuming every game delivers a linear spy-thriller campaign.

Think about what happens when you are detected
Consider whether you want to recover by escaping, restart a mission, or fight your way through. The recommendation sources do not establish a single detection-recovery pattern that applies across these titles, so check gameplay descriptions or a specific game’s store page if that is a deciding factor.
Choose a setting and combat balance
For covert-operations tactics, look at Metal Gear Solid V or Blacklist; for disguise-driven social stealth, consider Hitman; for stealth paired with tactical shooting, consider Sniper Elite 5. If you want non-lethal equipment as well as lethal options, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is another fit. These are different kinds of stealth, not interchangeable versions of Splinter Cell.
